someone who works at infinity ward needs to see this and take it back to the COD4 days. COD4 had its problems but these are way worse. Especially the camping. This guy should write more articles! :)

way over the top article this guy has clearly played the hell out of the game and is complaining like he hasnt had any fun bottom line games are fun and this one has hours of my devotion as long as its staying fresh and keeping me on my toes

I think they gave noobs way too many tools to abuse the game to their advantage. And I'm not talking about networking prone to lag switches, or exploits allowing unlimited ammo, instant 10th prestige, and ranked private matches.

It's all the little things.

The introduction of death streaks.
The overpowered noobtubes.
The increased incentives to camp due to the insane emphasis on killstreaks.
Dual wielding shotguns that can fire across the map.
Heartbeat sensors that defeat the purpose of UAV.

Not to mention the map design paling in comparison to the original Modern Warfare and the ease of attaining XP through the unlimited challenges.

Also, what is the point of getting a pave low or Harrier strike if any jerkoff can just take it out in an instant with a Javelin or Stinger? Hell, even the UAV can be taken out now.

It seems to me that this game holds your hand waaaay too much.

Getting 30-0 in MW2 is nowhere near as rewarding as say a 10 killstreak in Killzone, Gears of War, Uncharted or Resistance.

Yes, I've given in to buying the game for the PS3, only because its more of a social experience than anything, playing with friends is always fun ya know.

But after nearly going pro with COD4 on the PC (ProMod), I have a few legitimate complaints towards MW2.

5. Single player - I for one hated the single player portion of the game. Yes it's got action packed sequences, their all mind blowingly over the top, but the story itself is just plain bad, garbage dialogue and events spews at you like hot puke. I could go into it more in detail, but who cares, the game was bought for multiplayer.

4. Maps - What do they all have in common? Focal points. I'm talking about the bunker in the middle of the map. The house in the middle of the map. The big ass shed in the middle of the map. Ok I'm guessing you get the point. The problem you ask? This creates a huge disadvantage for the unlucky team marching repeatedly towards the enemy team, who just so happens to be chillin in their house atop the hill. Aside from those maps, the rest are pretty much too big for the amount of players allotted.

3. Perks/Killstreaks - A double edged sword of course because everyone loves calling in a helicopter. The problem they present is actually quite funny. I for one have no trouble staying inside when an airstrike is called, or shooting down someones helicopter. The baffling part is that IW took something annoying and made it annoying-er. Not a term I know, but whats worse than someone getting laggy knife kills? Someone with increased knife distance. Whats worse than a camping sniper? A sniper with thermal. Basically it all boils down to, whats worse than a really lame exploit? An added strength of said exploit.

2. The Architecture - You all know the story behind this complaint. So instead of listing Call of Duty's troublesome connection issues, I'm going to enlighten you with a little glimpse of how a real multiplayer game should handle. Enter Bad Company 2. Open friends list. Join friend. Connected to server instantly during map loads. Instantly put into his squad and spawn next to his tank. Now how long did this take you ask? Lets just say, if this were MW2, you'd still be trying to connect to your friends party.

1. Overall Gamer Friendly (See all of the above) And Then Some!- Heartbeat sensors, thermal snipers, akimbo, deathstreaks, sticky aim, ballooned hit boxes, the list goes on people.Now I know your familiar with most of what I've said above, but I want to touch on a few most people really don't notice or bring to attention.

Sticky aim for those who don't know, is when the game automatically moves your crosshairs over an enemy. As you can see, this gives everyone an advantage, and you might ask why this is a problem if everyone has it? I answer that question the simple fact that basketballs and soccerballs aren't designed to automatically seek the net. That's the players' job.

Hit boxes of course, are the game's virtual target placed over each avatar. So when I say Ballooned Hit Boxes, you should be imagine everyone in MW2 running around with about 3 times more girth added to their avatar. In essence, you could be aiming well over or around an enemy, but with Infinity's ultimate goal being to please the gamer instead of angering him, that enemy is going to die. Every weapon applies to this,

So the big picture by now should be, is that next time you land that awesome knife kill, don't kid yourself... you got help.

MW2 multiplayer should get patched...a lot

Thermal or Heart-beat sensor attatchment really just for single-player,
these two items make players want to just camp since they make enemy so easy to spot...

Akimo/Commando perk shouldn't exist at all!! It is really not fun when you got maw down by twin shotgun in mid-range, or kinfed nearly accross a room

Its pretty weak to play an entire Domination or Demolition match with A and B locked down and the other team just sitting back by the Hummers in Invasion trying for a Nuke.

Nukes aren't any fun, it takes all the ebb and flow of the battle away. Go play TDM if you just want to camp. When I snipe, I run and gun with the Intervention. It's difficult to get the hang of but a lot more fun than sitting in one place jerking off with claymores like a four year old douche.

the oly anoying thing i find. has to be the twin shotgun. its stupid. just run around and get shot from across the map. no skill. i might not be the best at the game but i try and kill people with a "normal gun" than two overpowered. really gets to me

When I want to break my disc its soo bad. What annoys me the most are the wankers who hacked it to get prestiege 10 and then run around with Akimbo Model 1887s w/ FMJ, the justice?

COD is the MADDEN of FPS...each yr. an new game..with incremental improvements. I was stupid for buying this years game...
silly short SP, MP is the same ol crap...camp, shoot, move, camp..YAWN...
Spec Ops is the only bright spot..but ONLY 2 PLAYERS in the 3-4 yr of this current console life...I call that LAME
game will be traded for MAG or MassEffect.
terrible job by IW, especially with all the bugs and glitches...no beta testing to save $$ = crappy game with bugs

I'm just stuck with this until BC2 comes out, if you haven't played the beta or seen anything about it and have a ps3 you have to check it out!

Trust me guys you can't go wrong it's so much more balanced.
