
The Simpsons Arcade dropped into the App Store today, offering a retro-style brawler that evokes memories of the classic beat-'em-up from Konami. Though Simpsons Arcade stars Homer, he gets assists from his entire family as he tries to save Springfield from a mysterious bunch of Men in Suits (MiS) that have invaded the town. As Homer punches and kicks his way through Springfield, he'll also go toe-to-toe with other cast members, such as Chief Wiggum and Bumblebee Man.
IGN had a chance to ask producer Steve Robert about the inspiration behind The Simpsons Arcade and what steps EA took to guarantee the authenticity of the game.

Revenue rose by only 0.2% year-on-year, while downloads increased by 4.6%

US consumer spending on video games reached $5.9 billion in December 2025, an increase of 3% year-over-year (YoY). This rise was partially fuelled by an increase in subscription services spend, which rose 24% from December 2024.
