Kombo: Epic. It's a word that you hear a lot these days.
It is usually used as a superlative, to praise something deemed big and grandiose, but also very good, despite the fact that the term "epic" doesn't really have a positive or negative connotation. One thing we can agree on is that it does in fact mean something done on a grand scale, and that certainly applies to certain videogames.
We all love a good, epic game, but it seems to me that we have become so enamored with games done on the epic scale that we may have forgotten that a game doesn't have to be epic to be good. It has become somewhat irritating to me to see great games go unnoticed because of their lack of an "epic story" or grand scale. Not every game needs to be "epic" and it's a shame that games that are not so easily fall through the cracks.
It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

in terms of cut scenes,storyline,characters,vo ice acting,graphics,physics,immers ion and awesome soundtrack(just listen to mw2 or uncharted 2's epic music)

epic values are rising in videogames,look at uncharted 2,modern warfare 2,gta 4,mgs 4,alan wake,heavy rain,conviction,halo reach,fallout,mass effect,the last gardian and a looot of other games,those games define word EPIC(also I like the western style than japanees style,japan should push values forward)
that's also One of the reasons I want nintendo to delay zelda and make it wii2 hd launch title,zelda is known for its epicness and scale and now nintendo wanna revamp the whole series,the wii is not the place to revamp such an epic game to make it even more epic
BUT as a real gamer,you should also appreciate the games that define "fun" and don't focus on storytelling or epic "movie" qualities
games like new super mario bros,borderlands,crackdown,xbl and psn arcade games etc....these games are AMAZING and should not be ignored,crackdown 2 could be epic though(cannot wait for crackdown 2 WOOOOOT)
