This game just makes me smile it is so beautiful. The perfect RPG in every way. I can not wait.

Xeoset5988d ago

Agreed.

I hope to hell Mass Effect 3 uses the facial and voice recognition aspects of Natal. BioWare are awesome for NPC interaction and I would bet a lot that they could do some amazing things with Natal.

diefor5988d ago

The cinematic was in game?

Baka-akaB5988d ago

i hope to see that engine in Dragon age 2 .. or an even better one personally

Hisiru5988d ago

Nice screens, I can't wait for this game!

@diefor
No, it wasn't in-game.

Lifendz5988d ago

Should be interesting to see how this does compared to FFXIII in the U.S.

Mass Effect 2.
Man it's good to be a 360 owner!

PS3 fanboys are crying right now... how it translates here? With "disagrees"
Take a look! haha!

steck675988d ago

Why do you guys even care about the disagrees? I personally dont give a sh1t about it since I really dont care on who agrees/disagrees with my opinions. Seriously, who cares... it wont change the fact that ME2 will be amazing.

Let them press the disagree button if it makes them feel better.

Tony P5988d ago

It is a bit amusing that there are almost no disagreements in the comments but tons of disagrees. It's like a lot of someones didn't think up a point of contention, which is actually kind of sad.

Nihilism5988d ago

Whats truly disgusting is that people get lots of disagrees for saying something positive about this game, the same can also be said about 360 fans for thumbing me down just for commenting on getting the pc version, we're all gamers here geez.

I'm a pc gamer, so I have no preference, but I really think this will be GOTY, it's very early of course and 2010 is going to be an amazing year all round for gaming, but ME2 will be very hard to beat

r2kcipher5988d ago (Edited 5988d ago )

@Dchalfont I cant say a game is GOTY status without playing it. But this will certainly be MY rpg of the year without a doubt. Preordered the LE yesterday along with Heavy Rain. 2010 FTW!

i am loving the way this game is shaping up to be.. BIOWARE has been my fav studio right from when i played buldurs gate, jade empire on xbox1 every game they have made i have played. and they are just awesome currently finishing DA.origins for the 4th time with my rogue human.. and its such a beautifully made RPG...

@baka-akaG .. its the unrealengine3 they are using for ME2 just as ME1 i knw its a shock but ya it is.. the unreal engine making the game look that good which still baffles me.. coz i personally not a big fan of it.. but if they pull this off the way this pics are looking boy will i be impressed coz it will be the best work done with this engine even more then the gaddamn owners (epic = gears of war)

Gameplay9995987d ago

Unlike ME1, Mass Effect 2 is using a modified version of Unreal Engine 3.

Traveler5987d ago

Mass Effect 2 looks incredible and will surely be one of the best games of 2010.

ABizzel15987d ago

Mass Effect was a good game, with the sequel I hope they put more work into the gameplay (shooting was meh.), and make things simpler such as navigating menus, the weapon wheel is a good idea, but the menu wheel not so much just work on that and I'm more than satisfied.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast515d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine515d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast515d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman515d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast514d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave763d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan763d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave763d ago (Edited 763d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
