there is no such thing as an unbiased web-poll

So far the market speaks louder than any polls, and right now its saying BluRay discs are selling better than HDDVD.

We will all be better informed after x-mass when the score is presented for this year.

You guys should talk about this at AVSForums.com...we get like 3,4,5 of these articles a week....whats the big deal no matter which one wins we get HD movies, they are the same thing just different companies.
I understand PS3ers being interested in this bc it makes their purchase justified....i mean seriously if i spent 600$ buck and the format died id be pissed off but lets just limit some of these articles, i mean come a poll with like 1500 people hardly tells the tale.

i dont know why xbots defends hddvd when micrsoft can care less if it wins or not..blue ray is just better..

themselves but poles are nice sometimes too. I mean its vgoa.com you can't tell what consoles its biased toward till you actually get there and you can only vote once so their could be an even number of people from both sides going to the site then voting.

Its too bad the bulk of consumers are not taking part in polls on DVD players most are tech lovin fanatics that par-take in such things the masses will choose on price and name reconition in the end and poll taking will be a non issue in the comming months.

VGOA.com is not Sony only...right now the writers and workers are all Sony based, they are waiting for more writers for other sections such as Wii and 360. This isn't a Sony only website.

Meanwhile 90% of the population has no idea what either HD DVD or Blu Ray is. This so called war is a crock. There is no war at all right now it is just a niche market (judging by sales data of current movies). Once one of the new technologies ever starts to compete with DVD then there maybe a war.

As for downloading movies I don't think that will be mainstream anytime soon. Not enough people will have the connection speed to do so, and really who wants to download a 15-50gig movie, unless they can start it in the morning before heading to work and have it ready to watch by the time they come home. I have to wonder how many people prefer to own the physical media.
