True...I miss black isle.
Planescape,Icewind dale 1&2,Baldur's gate,fallout 1&2.

They did great things in the late 90s.

uh ? games of bigger scopes have been done already in 3d .
And DA3 is easily of the same scale .

Is the story as great and epic and the characters as interesting ? i dont think so but it ends there .

So far the only real difference between DA and BG would be obviously the different story and setting and the obvious lack of official D&D rules .

Da is basically their own BG with their own license and a simplified gameplay to an extent , for consoles .

As for Neverwinter nights , it never even tried . it was basically a multiplayer engine glued to an incredible underwhelming sp campaign .

And we all knows that even if way better than oblivion , Fo3 is quite close to a reskin of oblivion . So no they didnt try neither , they made a totally different with the license fallout they bought

What's the next bs , telling me that the Witcher would have been bigger and better in 2d ?

Judge must've bought Bethesda's Fallout 3 DLC or Game of the Year edition and realized they were glitch as well and it would be a crime to let Bethesda make an MMO Fallout that would be glitchy as well.

I dont see how you defend that fiercely such a blatant history of bugged games .

That's what they were famous for , before their big morrowind and oblivion break .

Now thanks the gods , their games are very glitchy but playable .

Yes but look at the games they are making and the scope of problems they face when they make them. Perhaps they should just make linear games that have less than half the problems they have to deal with.

I've played Oblivion and FO3 a lot and have hardly run into any bugs worth mentioning. I must just be lucky.

There is no way to deny it , when as an example there are even articles ( and by that i just dont mean bloggers) about Fallout 3 dlcs being bugged at launch , each fricking time for numerous people ...

And i disagree here , there are still a few other devs doing games of such scales without as many issues and bugs . Hell mmos launches with basically the same issues or even less and they got a lot more stuff on their plate to handle . They dont even seems to do basic QC and testing .

It would be one thing to have some odds obscure sidequest or item bugged as usual with everyone , and indeed be forgivable given the game's size ...

However when even your dlc are each time broken at release ? I say they get quite some free passes many other devs gets for rather silly bugs and errors .

IF this simple thing wasn't tested .. how the hell does some people try to defend the buggy game ..??

I know right? In fallout 1 and 2 I died I a lot! Fallout 1&2 were hard and fun.

Fallout 3 was a cake walk even on the very hard settings I had 457 stempacks by the time I got to the end of the game.(oh and endless ammo)

Yea, sure I'm living in the past, but I FULLY support Interplay.

I will never tire of Fallout 1 and 2. I still think they totally own Fallout 3 any day.

I can't be the only one that loves Interplay and the originals.

I Hope Interplay wins, I want Elders Scrolls 5.

Any original Fallout will tell you Fallout 3 suxed,

Bethesda just re-skinned Oblivion, put guns in it and got new voice actors
The gamers of today only want FPS so of course the game sold well.

Oblivion > Fallout 3

I got Fallout 3 goty edition and its the first Fallout I've played. It really is Oblivion with guns but at the same time no where near as good as Oblivion.

Fallout 3 was over-hyped, it's still good though.

Fallout 3 was amazingly addicting. I couldn't stand Oblivion.

I clocked 200+ hours into Fallout 3. I maxed out everything.

Fallout 3 was down right fun. What about it made it suck? Explain.

i have to agree with you TABSF but also disagree. fallout 3 was a let down from the originals, how they switched special up and the storyline was meh but for what it was it could have been alot worse.

I found the game empty, like it has nothing to do with fallout.

Before I got Oblivion I watched a friend play it, and with in seconds I knew I needed it, After watching my bro on Fallout 3 for about 2 hours, it just felt flat and the vault Pissed me off, I got to megaton and just gave up.

I always Watch or play the game before buying, games are getting sh!t compared to the golden age, back in the NES - N64 days it was rare to get a really disappointing.

So you gave up around to the point of entering megaton? That's like an hour into the game :/. I suggest you at least beat the game before you overall judge it.

A lot of people complain about the beginning(As did I) But the game really gets interesting soon after.

Would be nice if they had New Vegas ready as well, especially because of the show.

Hopefully this doesn't have the same performance issues as Oblivion Remastered.

Throw in all the DLC as well, like Oblivion and I'll definitely bite. I recall having one trophy left to unlock on the PS3 version with 100+ hours in my save. When my save file got corrupted, lol. Very sad day.

To be fair though, Bethesda was trash at Playstation ports anyway.

all devs sucked at porting to ps3 for the first like 3 years because no one had experience with the cell architecture. Even 1st party took a long while to get proficient with it, the difference between uncharted 1 and 3 is massive for example.

Meh, I thought 3 was garbage. I'm not a great fan of the franchise to be fair. They're like B-Movie films, really shallow and janky. 4 was definitely one of the better ones though.
