PS3Informer reports, "Worrying about a last-generation hit like Grand Theft Auto shows that Pachter is out of touch with the current state of the video game industry... Take Two doesn't need another GTA in 2010. Here's why."

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

FuRuy has opened a Twitter account called “Project Alice” teasing a new game announcement on April 25 at 20:30 JST.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
They need another GTA in 2010 to get the bad taste out of everyone's mouth from GTA4.
They don't need another GTA because GTA4 was the worst game in the series and they are going to need a hell of a lot of time on the next GTA so it doesn't suck as bad as GTA4.
Rockstar North PS3 exclusice ftw.
:)
Ofcourse not. They still got millions left over from the retarded people who bought GTA4 and their DLC's lol.
a ps3 exclusie to take advantage of the blu ray and the ps3 gta5 should not be a multiplatform as the xbox 360 got the dlc of gta4 while we ps3 fans can get the next installment of gta5 i think they can keep the gta4 dlc it flop big time it should have stayed home on the playstation brand they would have sold a bucket load of copies on the ps3 i would not like to see gta5 be multi because the 360 will hold back development time on the next one and i wouldnt like to see gta5 gimped because of the dvd in the xbox i think its ok for them to have the dlc but not gta5 i dont think it was fair they got the other chapters to gta4 if they want gta5 then they should by a ps3 to play the game i moved on gta4 because i didnt like it to much over hyped
As a stock investor i just care how much money Take Two is making, and hey if GTA makes over 80% of the company's profit, i want them release every year so my stock will go up.
M.P. is talking with numbers in his hands, and he is right, no annoucment will drive stock price down, as ppl dump T2 for Activision as another MW gets announced.
This is not M.P. "showing age", this is M.P. analyzing the stock market for you. Totally different from we the gamers, who most of us dont' own a single share, is tire of the GTA formula.
Fact is that GTA makes most of the money for the company, and the fact is that investors want the company to make money, and so the fact is that new IP are generally riskier.
So this argument doens't really work from a financial point of view, because the author hasn't really review any of T2's earning reports. Pretty much more of an opinion piece than M.P.'s usually moaning about the videogame industry, which believe it or not is not just 'random guess', he goes off studied market trend.
