Right out the gate you will get a feeling that this is indeed Devil May Cry with a new lead protagonist and paint job. You'll be stringing together massive combos and slaying a lot of demon creatures with everything from swords, to giant battle axes, to duel pistols, to the guns located at the heels of your stiletto shoes. Yes, you have guns attached to your high heels, and yes, they're pretty badass.

I could definitely see a Bayonetta/Dante game. Imagine them initially battling each other before eventually teaming up to take on the big baddies. Now, imagine what their child(ren) would be like.
Bayonetta and Dante I could see but even then with how their lore differs it's a hard sell. For the others...I just can't see it at all.

Bayonetta is a witch who enter contracts with demons for power and Dante is a demon, not really hard to connect.
They could even write in an alliance between the umbra witches and sparda.
On the surface yeah but the actual lore the two games have given us if you go into it...not so much.
