the ps3 sales will definitely never stop dropping...ever...by 2008 the figures will drop beyond zero, in which us consumers will start manufacturing them and selling them to Sony...

It badly needs more games. When Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Lair come out you'll see an up in sales, I hope.

Where I work we sale Ps3's daily. The system is closing on 4 mil, and the holidays are coming as well as the games. i wouldn't read to much into this. It's the summertime and consoles sales usually drop.

Sony is shooting its own leg with PS3 unless they drop down the price now and actually get a lot more users --> better game sales --> more devs interested --->happy happy joy with PS3... but nah, Sony does not seems to care, they blindly believe people would actually buy it with that price, like games would not cost enough already.

But I told you this was going to happen even before the launch in EUrope. It was pretty clear, Europe isn't any different to Americans or the rest of the world. Europeans are no aliens acting completely different from everyone that thinks the PS3 is overpriced, has no real great games and most important: Sony overpromisses and underdelivers.

Yep, the launch in Europe of the PS3 was great. They sold many. To fanboys. Fanboys will buy at allmost any price. Just to have it. After that: drop and no normal soul will look into it.

Now we know. Levels of the PS3 fell to about half the 360's sold. Even further then I thought they would.

That makes 360 selling between 70 to 90k a week from the launch of PS3. AFter PS3 launch the sales are dropping by the week. Summer effect is bull Sony droids, otherwise the 360 wouldn't climb up last week

There you have it. 360 sells world wide at twice the speed. PS3 isn't catching up at all. My prediction was pretty right. My next one is: Wii wearout effect will take place in fall. We'll see a slow decline, although Christmas presents with Wii will do fine again. Next year Wii will drop further.

PS3 opens to huge launches followed by sales that are well below expectation. It's not about being overpriced, it's about the price just being too high. That and the fact that it's current game catalog does not compare well to the 360 (don't get me started on the wii). MS's strategy of getting out the 360 ahead of the curve to gain gaming momentum appears to be paying off.

I had an X360 since the release date. I waited till about 3 months ago to get a PS3. I played Resistance and it's pretty amazing. If you have the TV for it purchase BR movies until games come out. I know people say they don't want to play movies in their video games consoles but that is what it's built for man and trust me the movies are great. Apacolyto,Casino Royale, Departed are worth it. IF you got a PSP remote play basically turns your psp into a mini ps3. The PS3 is becoming hot man. I am sure naysayers will flood me with disagrees and that is cool. Don't buy it if you don't want it I'm giving my opinion so don't be a pain in my ars.

GT5 and FF13 will change those.

I hate to rain on your parade but theres no way MGS4 & FF are going to totally turn around this console. You need a super-mega blockbuster AAA godly title. Sony doesnt have one. M$ does, its called Halo. Come September PS3 will be in its death throws.

i love WoW been playing it since day one, if they got this to the 360 then they would have a massive crowd they could get in.

I don't own a PS3, but will eventually get one. I am just waiting to see what games will be coming out for the system. I am a pretty casual gamer, so will wait until there is enough reason for me to buy.

That is a pretty silly title. No sales will not stop droppig for the PS3...ever. That's just a little stupid isn't it? I've got one: Will sales for the 360 stay the same when Halo 3 is released?

They would not stop dropping if they didn't release their games this year (Lair, HS, Ratchet and Clank, yada, yada, you know the list)

The Home feature isn't out yet. LBP that the devs loved to death isn't out yet. There's really nothing out yet except for 30 games. When there are more fun games out sales will pick up. Word will spread people will buy.

That goes for the 360 too. The more games the more people will buy, next stupid question.

it has many great games coming out in the fall, winter, and spring and if those games turn out to be really good then the system will sell and there are great multiplatform games thats always fun lol i want that new medal of honor game looks sweet cant wait for it to come out

..it's their time to feel the down cycle in the industry. They were caught in to many lies, and the propaganda is a bit thick and quite obvious too most. Microsoft has done well enough to draw the attention of developers and Nintendo feels "Hey Karma's a B$tch", greed will get you some where, then no where. Sony got lazy and underestimated the competition, and it shows. But hey fellas there is always PS4 to try to turn things around, that seems to be how it works.

I find your comment about proprietary formats interesting. I think its Nintendo that keeps there games on oddball media. I mean the PS and saturn were on CD N64 used a catridge. Gamecube was on mini cd or whatever when everyone was using DVD. BR is not a medium used solely by Sony. I have no idea what wii is using. X360 does not use standard wireless protocol. Every company uses proprietary components and medium.

well the sales will stop dropping but i dont see it happening soon, maybe near christmas or something like that, oh and when FF comes out + any other big titles. but Sony would be selling even more if they had a price cut.
