I do dislike how when you're shooting someone they continue to run at you and stab you. But I love the game and the stabbing thing really isn't a big issue, just annoying.

a lot of complaints can be avoided.There are a lot of variety in this game and the maps.Tons of combinations are possible.When people only use mid-range ARs,ofcoz they are gonna get owned by shotguns and melee in short range.

The autoaim is tailored for people who have hooks for hands.

MW2 is a game that's not complicated or demanding. A pick up & play shooter.
Which is why fat or ugly people can't put it down. The fridge is in the house. They get more kills than twinkies which are both quite satisfying when it's not your fault because the body takes over the mind and they can't put it down. : )

The lag pisses me off a lot. I thought that IW would have done something about it after MW1, but nope, instead they added worthless callsigns and emblems. And dont give me that crap about how my connection sucks, the lags are happening ONLY on CoD games including MW2 Also, the delay in the damage registry (whatever its called) is so irritating. Another thing, the melee is S H ! T. Even with commando activated as a perk, the melee just doesnt work, when I know I had em since the damn guy was right in front of me.

I can go all the day; reading off my damn 100,000 pages of MW2 flaws that are in size 4 font on a regular printer paper.

Now I know, until MW3 is proven to have significantly improved from MW2, I wont buy it. I was pulled into the hype this time, but next time I'll resist...

Speaking of resist, Resistance 3 may be coming out next year so I may get that. At least the Resistance series doesnt have a history of releasing a re-hash. Can't wait! Viva la Resistance!

Here are my thoughts on the subject:

Lack of party chat is utterly stupid. Only game mode that may need it is Search and Destroy. The others it doesn't matter considering you can speak to your entire time the entire time anyways.

As far as noobtubes go, well, they are a real weapon and are use commonly in the military. Stop complaining and just play. They really aren't all that effective anyways, at least in my experience.

I don't have a problem with the Thermal scopes. They aren't game breaking and they do help for people like me who are colorblind and it's hard to spot people like everyone else can. Still, I don't use it much, but I have no problem with it being used.

You want to counter knifers? I'd suggest using Model 1887, Akimbo, with Marathon, Lightweight/Cold-Blooded and Steady Aim/Ninja. Even if you're not trying to anti-knife, that class is still very deadly.

I too hope they add more DLC for this game unlike COD4. Also, Where in the **** did Team Tactical go? 3v3 is good sometimes and I'd like all options to be open.

Its easy to counter a lot of the "noob" weapons. Thermal vision? Use the cold blooded perk, it actually makes you harder to spot in thermal vision as you blend in with the background. Also handy for dodging missiles. Getting knifed easily? Get a buddy to back you up, or just knife back, you have the same options as the other guy. Noob tube getting you down? Put on your blast shield, 9 times out of 10 you'll survive the splash damage. But a lot of your other points are valid my friend.

I couldn't agree more with this article. First off I haven't played MW2 yet, I personally could care less about the game after their smug attitudes. I loved COD4, I was pretty good at it online, but it drove me up the wall sometimes in annoyance. The people running around with super speed stabbing everyone was annoying. Now if they add a prompt that if you hit right before they stab you and you counter. F it, let em run at me, they might kill me but if I can have a CHANCE I'll take that any day. I hate sniper rifles and rockets in all multiplayer games unless it's a big map and it ends up just being funny. Rockets in Halo 3 is fun, UC2 was fun from what I've played, COD is closed corridor, you turn a corner and BAM rocket in the face, not cool. Snipers in COD suck ass and always have. Sniper + camo + weeds and prone. I know I can do the same thing, but it's UNSTOPPABLE. Now people have thermal vision? I mean you can already see the guy from the other side of the map without his knowledge. But now you get help with thermal vision? I realize it's a real weapon, and it happens in war. But COME ON, MW2 is not a war simulator, you can KNIFE people from a distance for christ sakes!! Their is nothing more annoying than spawning, taking 4 steps and getting shot in the head before you even know their is a guy. Dropping grenades when you die, knifing from an unreachable distance? Is that what the Marines do nowadays? Knife from 10 feet? I probably just suck at games online, I'll readily admit I'm not that great. But it's also about me having fun, I could care less if I'm the best at that game. I really wish games had separate sniper/rockets/pistols games. That way at least to me it's more fun. If your in sniper, your looking for snipers. If your in rockets, watch the fuc* out, if your in pistols your up close and personal. I guess a perfect example is goldeneye 64, you chose power weapons, snipers, mines etc and it was fair. I'd like to see a deathmatch minus snipers and rockets. Only short range weapons, that would satisfy me. I agree though IW has been really really arrogant lately. They seem to only care for what they want and nobody else. It's funny though MW2 pretends to be a war simulator. real weapons in combat all being used online...funny thing is than they have fake ass sh*t like knifing from a distance? Lol I like BFBC2 beta more than COD4, and I suck total ass at that game. I mean my best match out of the 10 matches I've played is like 9K/23D. Which is horrendous. But it's much more fun for some reason.

Why the he'll can't we customize our character and unlock pieces of clothing something haloesque/rainbow six, obviously can't have pink soldiers running around but still. Two years to make it and they couldn't implement an awesome feature like that, which would add even more replay value!

Also many many levels in campaign would male sweet mp levels like burger town and the suburbs.
Instead of say... Underpass and highrise? Blech.

I am all the time being cheaply shot in the back. Knifed while I shoot some guy in the face. People camping gain kill streaks and destroy everyone. Plus thermal scope just completely crosses the line. The only counter to this is by sniping. I feel this about COD. I think COD M2 went overboard on the weapon and perk system. No one uses real strategy they just camp for killstreak run and gun or camp. Put this on top of the bigger maps it's just chaos. It's just run and kill as fast as you can until your shot in the back, or shot by a camper. I find the game to be very unrealistic. To me this game is very very noob friendly with no real strategy. Maybe It's different with more advanced players I don't know. I mean If the multiplayer was played right it would be a lot better. But on the plus side the co-op is awesome some of the best I have ever played. Now before you say I'm just a noob with no skills. I love the BC2 beta. Last night I scored 49 kills to 16 deaths. So I am no noob, and I really think the MW2 needs better balancing like Tor was saying.

MW2 was fun a couple of days, that's it. AC2 is a lot more addictive.

I used to be a fan of COD, but the lag and inconsistent latency issues kill the online for me. I mean how hard is it to make dedicated servers when you rake in billions every 2 years? P2P, really? Im gonna just stick to playing Bad Company 2, MAG, Uncharted, Warhawk, and every other game that supports dedicated servers. Until then, Im never gonna spend anther dime on their games till they get with the times. Its not 2007 anymore IW.

I played it on PC at my friend's house. It was excellent, but felt more of the same just like an expansion pack. My friend says that I should buy the game on PS3, but I here a lot that the 95% of the players r campers.

I got the PS3 version of MW 2, and know that DLC is mainly because the Xbox 360's DVD-9 issue. (Meaning, the Format is too small for most of the newer games, therefore...it will take multiple disk.) My complaint is the DLC being used to mask the content that should have already been most of the se types of games. (You know, like Forza 3, GTA 4, and Halo:ODST) IW will release DLC that most likely is ALREADY COMPLETED, and most REAL gamers know this is to get more cash. Whatever excuses IW/MS will use on their customers is not reaching my Node Center, because I have already taken the "Red Pill". (Thank you... Trey Brotherhood!) The use of DLC is to make extra money, and that money is not being used to make future games, services, or systems functions better...and that bothers me. (Yea, all three consoles are looking to rack in extra cash, but MS is the worst!)

the lag is embarrassing in MW2, and I play a match of MAG with 256 people that lasts 30-45 minutes without lag through the whole thing

Personally, I suck BALLS at the game. If I wait and camp, or be very cautious, I get bored. If I run towards the action, I get smoked. I see guys tweaking running everywhere with amazing K/D ratios and wonder, am I too slow to react? Or is there serious wall-hacking going on. Game is awesome, but f()cking annoying at the same time.

Whoever wrote the letter, although it has a few grammatical errors (and who the hell at IW will care?), did a fantastic job at chewing them out and giving them what they deserve.

My only concern is that they will stop as soon as they see the "F" word :/ You can't complain about people swearing on chat and then do it yourself, and although I agree with you, IW won't want to.

Haters. Seriously. IMO the game is pure fun. Yea it has its annoyances but what game doesn't. Ive been playin the BF BETA and even though its a beta i can still tell MW is more fun for me. Theres camping? No way! In the BF BETA there is campers all over the place. Theres going to be campers in any FPS. People say the game is "NOOB" friendly. Um ok so what? If you yourself are not a a "NOOB" then these perks shouldnt matter. If your good then your good. Besides its a game right? Its meant to be fun.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
