French Official PlayStation Magazine was given the opportunity to play Heavy Rain for several hours.
"More than just a game or a series of Quick Time Events, Heavy Rain transported us to other horizons, notably thanks to its deep and dark atmosphere and its breathless plot."

This preview sounds INCREDIBLE!!!

"The more that a simple game or a series of Quick Time Events - as has long been described, Heavy Rain has managed to transport us to other horizons, notably thanks to its deep and dark atmosphere and its breathless plot."

I'm eagerly looking forward to this mature, story based game, and the subsequent reviews of the "innovation hungry" sites (when game is PS3 exclusive). Will be very fun to see them to bash this game, "bu but teh qte", "it got no teh multiplayerzz" "graphics are too good we wantz teh 600p and 60fpsz" 7/10

I've seen movies with men showering, and I don't give a fvck if it's in the game. As long as I don't have to do anything vulgar, I'm fine with it. I'm an adult. I'm not a dumbass little kid who thinks because someone looks at a nude male, they are automatically a homosexual. Now on the other hand, if he's in the showering jacking it, I would be pretty mad. Hahaha.

Kids make me laugh. Do they not figure that most of there favorite sportsman are naked in the dressing room after a game.

As long as i don't have to wash any parts, i think the majority will be worried and the minority turned on

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

No. Some games are like movies.

medman2045d ago (Edited 2045d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
