It uses the same color scheme as the first and has the feel of immediate danger and action. It conveys the message that the universe can be a cold harsh place, that your team is all that stands between destruction and devastation.

The new one feels like a 1970s Buck Rodgers tribute. It's as if someone in the marketing department said "Hey! That cover needs more focus on Guns-n-Chicks. Lets get up closer to those Space Boobies... but not so close it's obvious."

But to be perfectly honest, both of these suck compared to the ME1 cover. It was a 5x8 inch Epic Adventure for your eyes. The way that it focused on individuals, space ships, whole worlds, and the eyes Beaming down on you all at once... Priceless.

..but the game's gonna be great regardless of it's lame cover.

VladimirK6025d ago

Yeah, it is a small point about the game overall.
But I prefer the 1st. Think the darker colour works much better than the bright colouring.

But still, neither can touch the collectors edition cover.
Something about that one just makes it looks so awesome to me, haha

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast525d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman525d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave773d ago (Edited 773d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
