Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), is expected to grow its sales by 30% sequentially in the third quarter thanks to shipments of components for Apple iPhone, Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) and own-brand products, according to investment firm Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (CLSA).
Ecco the Dolphin is returning, with original creators confirming multiple new games and related projects now in development.
Loved Ecco on Megadrive/Genesis. Diving out of the water was always a fun feeling, and the whole 'vibe' while playing/exploring was pretty chill and special.
Always hoped we'd get a proper 3D sequel with modern-tech water-graphics and physics. (Same wish for Wave Racer btw).
It was pretty chill until you get to the last 2 or 3 levels. My god Welcome to the Machine was brutal.
You can always play an emulated Ecco: Defender of the Future on Flycast, or if you have a real Dreamcast play it there.

That is amazing news. Keep it level based or metroidvania but dont go the roguelike route and it should be good.

PS3 got a bad rap because of the price. I bought it day one (I was very lucky). A Blu-ray player was more expensive than the PS3 at the time around 800$+
And that was for a standalone player with no internet connectivity. A network enable BD players like the PS3 was, were around $1000 at the time
That's true, but it gets worse. I remember seeing independent analysis from CNET or something like that. They concluded that PS3 was not only the cheapest, but also had the best video quality of any BD player.
Good to see there is an improvement despite the challenges plaguing this generation.
At the end of year 5, the ps3 received a pricecut making the 160GB model $250 and the 320G GB model $300.
I miss those days when there was not so much demand for microchips and the prices of things generally came down.
Now everything seems to be a smart device with very few companies to supply the needed chips.
Why compare to the PS3? The machine was a total abortion.
Comparing to 4 would be best being it’s the previous generation and was hugely successful.

Western media did everything in their power to destroy the ps3. They shiited on its price and made fun of the CELL (I'm surprised there wasn't more dbz memes) calling it alien hardware. Still it gave us games like Uncharted 2 and TLOU.

The article though posted by sony protection group isnt generated by them therefore i think it is valid. I posted it because of the sony denying reduced production some believed and some didnt as i can see this is still the case
