I don't think MS is sweating. They're raking in all kinds of money from Live and 360 sales. Sure the PS3 may be selling more now, however MS has outsold the original 360 and Live is a cash cow.

I know there was a game called ninja blade but ill leave that alone and odst was intended to be an expansion so they dressed it up and gave halo 3 owners the same maps they already paid for...Anybody who feels odst wasnt an expansion is a little naive. There was also another title with halo in its name and that was the halo wars and to be fair it was a little different even though it was a simplified rts. Other than those the 360's whole year was reliant on multiplatform titles but next year looks a lot better than this year to be fair as it couldnt get any worse.

Sony has been sweating for 3 years before the Slim. Many downgrades on the ps3 to lower the cost. The PS3 already has had more price cuts than the 360 has. How much money has the ps3 lost?? With the Slim being more of a loss I would think that Sony would be doing the sweating. The 360 is a successful machine and making serious profits. Microsoft are the only ones that are seeing profits in their gaming division.

At this point, I don't really care who is sweating. I got my money worth play time from both consoles. I am not worry about Sony or MS's investment. I was worried about my investment. If one fails (highly unlikely), I will simply move to another one.

5. Lower the price. Okay to a point. Lowering prices is a temporary solution though. Accessories being lowered to a more reasonable price should be their first priority. A 500gb notebook hard drive costs as much as a 120gb xbox hard drive.

MICROSOFT IS CONTROLLING THE HD MARKET AND IS METICULOUSLY REACTING TO SONY'S DESPERATION. NOT SWEATING. THEY EXPECTED THE DESPERATION.

So they only have to tweak what they were already doing and remain patient for 2010. Then, we'll see if Sony's PS3 Slim will still look pleasing to the common folk.

We already know that Sony Fans don't buy games, but we'll see if the common consumer will continue to buy the PS3 once Microsoft starts its campaign.

Yea, NOW....people want to try and get on the PS3 station. I remember when all of my friends made fun of me for not getting a XBOX 360, but I told everybody that Sony would not disappoint.

Sure the PC, 360, and Wii are all great, BUT....Blu Ray, Sony Store, FREE online, WiFi, and GREAT exclusives, exist on the PS3. I never cared what the "so-called" journalist and mis-informed gamers had to say...Sony made sure NOT to abandon the platform genre, something that only Nintendo can say they stayed true to. Anyhow...MS does have some good stuff out there, and I like NIntendo's Motion controller. (The Resident Evil and Call of Duty on the Wii looks like a lot of fun.) However, Sony didn't become the world wide leader in video gaming by a lucky game or two. These guys/girls maintained it's course..regardless of what the haters had to say about it. NOW, all of the "Pirates", parents, and gamers are getting the best Next Gen. system out there. (The other game systems are great too, just do not provide the same stuff as the PS3.)

I bought the 60g ps3 early knowing the games were coming! I have the money for two consoles just not the time! I turn on my ps3 daily, but I cant see owning a xbox too! I know whats coming.... not a "true" gamer".. etc... anyway I play ALOT! It's just that the ps3 satisfies my gaming jonz very well, thank you very much!

I LOVE IT!

When i first played it i had to down load a 3 hour installment. And when i got on, there wasn't too many people on. I thought it was supposed to be 256-players in a game. The servers were crap because they were on a stupid schedule, & the graphics even looked cheap.

--BUT--

After the first day, i noticed the new patch which took about another two hours which sucked. I also found out the servers where being launched 24/7. And i noticed a big difference in the graphics, not to mention the game isn't even ran on Blu-Ray yet like it will on release date in January.
All I have to say is I'd Pick MAG over any FPS shooter i have played. Soo many fun things to unlock, drive around in tanks, helicopters, HUGE AND VERY DETAILED environments. Call of duty might have slightly better graphics but MAG is an amazing game.

Playing MAG never had that feeling of playing with that many people. In this kind of battle!! CoD is like a board game war compared to the intensity in MAG.
I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT MAG.

MAG will kill the Sh-tBox360 with out a doubt, Hey 360 fans if ur reading this. Buy a PS3 and get MAG. It would get my vote for the best-intense-war-FPS. This is only the BETA I'm playing. I can not wait for the release.

How sad. Poor Forza 3. It was the only good game Microsoft had this year. When i think about getting a 360 its all good that its cheap and all...then i realize Live isnt free like PSN and im turned off right then and there. If MS wants to get buyers like me, they should do something about that rip off and entice me with free online somehow. Maybe delay the store and dont offer other features, and let online gaming be free. IDK but if they did that then id possibly get a 360...if i had money again.

....maybe to the point of a new system. It needs better graphics, greater reliability, cheaper online (maybe let silver members play online), and a much better way to store games. My suggestion for the last one, grow some balls and put in a blueray player that will also play the old games. With all that said, Sony has the largest internal studio out of all the big 3. Nintendo is really making the money though because all of their top selling games are first party. But between Sony and Microsoft, Sony wins hands down when it comes to internal studios. Microsoft acquired Rare but have only manage to put out Banjo Kazooie games.

I don't care about sales, i just care about games. Seeing as how Sony is putting out some of the best games on ANY console this year, i'll stick with ps3.

Let's get the obvious out of the way..Slim was a great move by Sony (even I bought one) and Uncharted 2 is a GOTY status.

Newsflash..Nothing is going to stop the 360 from having a great holiday season or the biggest year in it's history come this time next year.

This mini-blog is a rehash of the same blogs we've seen on this site day after day (but with a new title and angle). It uses the same played out hater tactics to attempt to minimize the 360's game impact for 09' and then try to downplay the monster year it will have in 2010.

Halo:ODST was a resounding success..period. (notice the writer has to bring up the length of the campaign, like it means anything to the blog). It also was biggest selling exclusive of 2009.

Halo Wars, Star Ocean 4, Shadow Complex, Forza 3, and Left 4 Dead 2 all are great titles to release on ANY year. Not to mention MAJOR DLC redefining moments with 'Lost and the Damned' and 'Ballad..'

The historic Call of Duty numbers are in and the 360 completely dominated the sales.

On top of all of this bo Live is hands down still the best online console srvice period.

2010? God of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5 will do huge numbers and IMO the only true system sellers that the PS3 has ever had arrive on the system.

But, Splinter Cell, Fable 3, Mass Effect 2, and Alan Wake are going to all make a lot of noise too.

But, let's all have a moment of silence for ANY game in the release path of Halo:Reach. This game will break all system exclusive records that have been set thus far.

This is all going to happen before Natal launches and potentially becomes the game changer of this generation.

So what does Microsoft have to sweat? The PS3 will continue to have renewed enthusiam this holiday, but the 360 did 6 million alone in the 4th quarter of last year. A repeat performance would only solidify the 360 install base.

Folks always seem to forget that Microsoft had a whole year in the market before PS3 or Wii. I won't even include Wii in the same market. It became an utter disappointment after the first year for me games-wise.

Now that Sony has had a chance to catch up time-wise and get some games out there, we can clearly see they are the superior hardware of the HD consoles. It has so much more to offer and I question how anyone could possibly choose Xbox360 (with tremendous RRoD failures, few great exclusives, having to pay for online, additional costs for hard drive, wireless, no HDMI output for an HD console....say what?!?!)

Sony is taking over with such a great offering of exclusive games...and the best multi-plats. Microsoft...where are the games and value of a hardware FAILURE?!

I bought a ps3 for gran turismo 5 (full version) still waiting like everyone else. Love the console btw. BUT if MS is holding the 360 slim up their sleeves, now is the time to release it. Competition makes the industry and gamers win.

The PS3 is still in dead last place by 7 million units. LOL. PS3 fanboys need constant reassurance that their console doesn't suck. This is just the kind of article they love. One from some no-name website that they'll look at as 100% FACT just because it supports the PS3 and/or negatively portrays the 360. It's just never-ending damage control. Sales don't matter when the PS3 is doing poorly, sales do matter when the PS3 is doing well. 360 exclusives suck, but when they lose exclusivity and are announced for the PS3 they are suddenly great.

A certain Xbox LIVE feature is crap until it's announced for the PS3 3 years late, at which point it's treasured. The MGS and Final Fantasy series are incredible, until they both go to the 360 and now they automatically suck.

If 360 exclusives score high, it's because "Microsoft paid off the reviewers!" If PS3 exclusives score low, it's because "EVERY1's teh BIAS against da PS3 cuz IT ONLY DOES EVERYTHING.™" If 360 games sell high, it's because "bots got no other games to play". If PS3 games sell low it's because "PS3 owners have so many games to play they can't afford to buy this game".

If multiplatform games look better on the 360, it's because "the developers are lazy". If multiplatform games (on that extremely rare occasion) look better on the PS3, it's "because of teh cell and teh blurays".

It's very clear that PS3 fanboys are extremely delusional and unstable to a point that you almost fear for their well-being. You never know what to expect as their arguments change on a daily, even hourly, basis. They are rabid, violently aggressive, and ready to pounce on you at the slightest negative comment about Sony or the PS brand. The fanboy war is always in the back of their minds, and they'll be ready to bash the 360 in any article whatsoever, whether or not it has anything to do with the 360 or PS3, or even video gaming itself. Double standards, hypocrisy, name calling... these are all the tactics that PS3 fanboys use more than any other fanboy that has ever existed.
