I'm rocking c2q, and there has been no reason to buy an amd processor, and i7 was not a significant improvement...especially with the cost of the x58 mobo's etc, but if the first i9's really are clocked at 2.4ghz and cost a fortune, i will happily swap back to amd for the 6-cores
