id boss Todd Hollenshead has given us an update on the progress of the new Castle Wolfenstein title - but don't hold your breath, as its release is definitely "not this year".
Castle Wolfenstein, in the works at Quake 4 developer Raven Software, was first announced for Xbox 360 way back at Microsoft's X05 event in October 2005, and subsequently confirmed for PC. But since then it's all gone quieter than a library of mutes.

Definitely a good game and loved the art style. My daughter watched me play it when she was 4 years old. I’ll have to replay it with her someday now that she’s older. It’s crazy it’s been around 11 years.
I was thinking of pulling out my PS3 super slim this winter to replay Rain, and try to tackle some of the backlog I acquired.
I love Enslaved such a sleeper hit, Asuras Wrath a very good game I still own, and I wish EA would put out a new Dante's Inferno another game I enjoyed. I never heard of the Rain game I might have to try it out might give Ebay a snoop or two.

Sometimes, you want a relatable villain who makes you question your own morality. Other times, you want Frau Engel.
It got old tbh. Machine needed a break from the IP. Indie is a good reprieve.

I really wish they'd remake Return to Castle Wolfenstein from the ground up. Easily the best of them all.
We have heard little to nothing except an announcement there would be a new game.
No biggie, there is still more games coming out than I have time to play anyway.
I didn't like Return to Cas... . Original Wolf 3D was the best as was original doom. Doom 3 was terrible. I hope their new projects are like classic ones not newer updates.
