IW, its called a beta, you should of done it a while ago before you even launched this game. Go learn from guys like DICE. They will teach you a lesson or 2 about making a game running nice and silky smooth, like KZ2 and Resistance.

Multiplatform Games Never work on the PSN Day 1. Anyone who doesn't know that is a PS3 n00b. That's just the way it is - wait a day or two. First party titles typically work great - but the Multiplats are always lazy half-arsed untested garbage (except for maybe 1 or 2 like Burnout Paradise)....unfortunately.

I've been playing MP last night and found games in seconds. I had a problem when I wanted to invite my cousin to a co-op game. It always gave us an error message.

But IW really f*ed up on the PS3 version of the game. It's like they didn't even care.

on ps3 when you log in to MW2 and you get a game invite presss the ps button go to account mgmt press triangle sign off then sign on again immeditly then join. It will work work for me and all the people in my clan.

Played all night on LIVE. Just sayin'.

people are saying about live working better like its a problem with PSN. its not it's a ****ty PS3 port that hasn't been tested properly that has done this.

They are talking about the PS3 version but both versions got issues got some friends who got the 360 version and they pointed connection issues in their version and asked me if the PS3 version got issues and for their relief I told them yes.

this is far from the truth and just fanboy rage, when is this going to end, each system is great for their own reasons , they all have faults, they all have great strengths, lets just dig on games, when its all said and done its the games we will all remember and not : home ,xbl,or shop channel. and btw I have had no problems on psn or xbl with mw2. :)

I managed to get into 4 games in a row this morning that put me on the losing team of a game in progress in the last seconds of the game.
As if that wasn't annoying enough I havent been able to play online since.

So I go trophy hunting, which was stuid because they aren't counting anyway. A game shouldn't be able to release in the state this one did

Some of you twits need to give it a break and stop trying to present it as a PS3 only problem. The PC version is having much more massive problems with connecting online and to add insult to injury, finding not all maps are 9v9 but several are 6v6. This is equivalent to finding your restaurant reservation is for a table in the restroom. Activision, Kotick and Infinity Ward have basically taken a sweaty sock and collectively slapped the faces of PC gamers with it. Like it or lump it. It is unbelievably idiotic they have decided to take a PC franchise which used to have a rock solid online experience and to destroy it for consolization profits. And it is being widely recognized the PC version is a straight port of the 360 version.

How is playstation already having patches and 360 has no patches. Not bashing PS3 because I have one, but I would never play a FPS on that system. The controller isn't built for it. The story was shorter this time around, but set you up for part 3. Good climactic ending, but shorter than first. Capain Price and Soap are true hero's. I wanna see what happens next. I live in Washington DC and I was impressed on how they captured certain aspects in the game. I can honestly see that suburban neighborhood being in a map pack later on as DLC.Running through homes and backyards seems like fun.

Mine will connect to the matchmaking server but gets stuck on updating ranks, playlists etc. I guess I'll just do the single player game mode for now.

Not that it feels identical to Modern Warfare 1, but that it looks identical. Extremely low resolution textures, jagged shadows galore, low polygon counts. I know it's multiplatform and all, but at least use SOME of the PS3's power.

It's not a developer issue. It's a server fault. LIVE servers are ran by Microsoft whilst PSN servers are often run by 3rd parties hired to do so.

I'm not here to start a war or anything but to answer a question so frequently asked.

Many PS3 owners ask us why we (Live subscribers)are ok with paying for Live.....and this is your answer. It's not different companies with their own servers all under the PSN tag but one company's servers (Microsoft) under XBOX Live. Less opportunity for things to go wrong. I want to say the servers have gone down once that I can remember and they were back up by the end of the day.

PSN is a great service but it's instances like these where I have no issues paying for Live. Hopefully IW gets your servers up and running soon

A friend came over with his copy of MW2 late last night we popped it into my PS3 and Multiplayer didn't work. Not because the IW devs "don't have their sh!t straight" but because PSN connection service was down.

Everyone rushing in here blaming the IW DEV's because their precious PSN could never be the issue, and saying so is near blasphemy is hilarious.
