RE5 will be out on the PS3 and 360. Although Dead Rising IMO is the best zombie game to date!

Capcom would risk losing serious amounts of money if this was done. Especially considering how much money they made off Lost planet and dead rising which has both sold close to 2 million each.

I do not see this game being exclusive. I wish it would be though. I would so like to see why Blu Ray is needed. As of right now the PS3 games do not use that much space. In no way am I bashing the PS3. I like it I even own it. But at the same time I own a 360 and many things that are on the PS3 could just as easily be on the 360 or the other way around. I think that at the same time as it would be cool to be an exclusive at this point in time I do not see Capcom going this way.

There have been many exclusive games on the 360 as of late and they have sold well for Capcom and they are smart they want money more then what fanboys want. Also Capcom has said in the past they want to target more gamers in the West and with there past games they have.

So they know people that buy the 360 like games like these. Lost Planet and Dead Rising sold over a Million for Capcom and so if any thing the 360 would get the exclusive rights to the game and I for do not see that happening. Sony knows Resident Evil was a big hit on the PS2 so in no way would they let this game be an exclusive. So I see this game on both systems. Like it or hate it. This is how I see it playing out.

Capcom is whoring Resident Evil 4 for every console (First GC exclusive, then PS2, then PC, then Wii, then...). The same fate awaits RE5. PS3, 360, PC and maybe Wii.

Could happen, maybe capcom want to utilize the power of the PS3, its cell processor, blu-ray and hard drive. After all this is there biggest franchise and they wouldnt want it to pail in comparison to MGS4 and FF13, like Konami are considering Silent hill 5 to be exclusive so they can take advantage of the hardware. Why do you think there havnt been any screenshots for this game maybe there waiting for the right time for an announcement.

I dont think Blu Ray has any real meaning to making games just make more disks for the other consoles. What's the big deal. Remember the old PSOne days Final Fantasy 7,8,9 they were multiple disks so I dont see the relevance of a exclusive Resident Evil 5 it will be popular on both sides.

because 360 has over three times the userbase. It doesn't make sense to even develop a PS3 eclusive based on those facts alone. Why make potentially 1/3 the profits. The only 3rd party exclusives you will most likely see on PS3 are frome Square or Konami bc Sony has paid them or Sony is blowing there skin flute. Why do you think you see such outrageous claims about Silent Hill 5(can only be done on PS3, Bluray is necessary.) Why would a third party toot Son'y horn unless they were being paid.) When multiplatform development makes so much more financial sense. Business is business just like in any other market.

....And how can fanboys be such hypocrites. 3rd party eclusives are based on the userbase not on superior hardware. The only reason the PS2 had so many exclusives last gen is because it had a user base that was 4 times any other console, and the actual hardware specs of the original xbox were higher, as well as the gamecubes. The power of a system has nothing to do with exclusives so stop stating that when they unleash the "true power" of the PS3 it will get all these exclusives. No it won't. Not unless these unforseen powers can multiply sales by about 5 times and lower the price by about half.

So basically Capcom themselves stated that its RE5 is slated for both the PS3 and the 360. I don't even see what the issue is at this point because nothing new has come to light.

This will never happend. Capcom has made $$$ because of the 360. Games like Dead Rising and Lost Planet have sold millions of copies. Capcom knows where the real money is to be made. They'll sell an easy million on the 360 but on the ps3, maybe 300,000 copies.

Tust me, people aren't saying it just because it's not true. It's because RE5 is exlusive to PS3. But Capcom is just in denial because they haven't announced it yet. They are finding out that what they want to do with RE5 isn't possible on XBOX 360, so that's why they are making it on PS3 only. Silent Hill, Haze, PES, RE5? I don't believe for a second that any of these will be exclusive to PS3, or anything. Not because PS3 can't support them (good games in good genres sell, see: Resistance, Motorstorm), but because the companies behind them want to maximize profit and these are all multi titles.

I think people are really missing the big picture here. Considering that fact that the PS3 fanbase is not exactly huge, it will expand through out the year(s). And since RE5 is far from its release, they might have reconsidered their plan. Just saying.

Well after Capcom has came to a decision to release previously PS3 exclusive DMC4 on Xbox 360, whoever thinks that RE5 will be exclusive to PS3 is pretty dumb.
