It would be a fascinating exercise to tally up the virtual body count an average fan of violent video games amasses in a single year.
Say, maybe, 500 digital Nazis in World War II games, a thousand slavering aliens in sci-fi shooters, half the population of the cities in the Grand Theft Auto series... that's a lot of bloodshed and carnage.
But do gamers ever stop and say, "Wow, I have really mixed emotions about shooting that guy in the head just now"? If the makers of the upcoming PlayStation 3 game Haze have their way, they just might.

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "When shopping for new video games you can often trust the name publisher or developer on the box to be an indication of the quality of the game. Names like Nintendo, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Capcom, Xbox Game Studios and Sega are world famous because they helped shape the industry by releasing some of the most defining video games of all time. Though sometimes even these great gaming houses stumble and put out a stinker."
Splatterhouse remake . Loved the og’s at the arcade growing up . Hell the best thing about the remake was the og,s were included . And left alive by Square . That game had so much potential , but the gameplay was worse horrendous .
I'm pretty much certain that any Sonic game that comes out will be terrible, I've not enjoyed one since the original side-scrolling days of the MegaDrive.

Guns, drugs, and unnecessary war. Fun for the whole family.
After all, it's just a game. Bioshock will try to do the same. If they (the developers) accomplish what they're trying to do, I'll be impressed.
haze looks mediocre I cant wait for bioshock though cant wait to blast those little girls.
Is one of the best movies out there @ depicting the psychological and physiological breakdown between commander and commandees. It's one of my favorite movies and the actors are top notch. If Haze can achieve these kind of dynamics in the game, then they might have a sure-fire winner, but the qustion becomes, "how far will you be able to stray from the beaten path," sorta speak when you become "aware" or conscious of any wrongdoing or a bad command? That's what I want to see.
As far as the above comment goes, I couldn't disagree more that HAZE looks mediocre. Hell it went vs. against screens of CRYSIS the other day and held it's own despite CRYSIS being a true stunner and overall better looking game, so how does it look mediocre?
All of them look mediocre...so how can u say that unless you have played this game...Wat that guy is saying nonsense..besides the graphics wat can u tell from a fps without playing it because they have looked the same since golden eye.....just better graphics...You gota agree with that...he looked at a game and called it mediocre looking at halo 3 would ou say the same...This guy is the reason new Ips dont get a chance...LOSer..Looking at Socom you could make the same conclusion plz explain
I used to think about it on Perfect Dark 64 because the multiplayer had stats. It was a big deal for us to keep a respecable accuracy level as well as plenty of headshots. My virtual killcount was about 18K if I remember correctly and I used to think "wow, and that just one game."
I wonder how many I have killed with red or green shells?
