Critical Gamer Writes: This was one of my most anticipated games of the expo. It's a cool license, that has been exploited surprisingly rarely in the world of video games. So when I heard another game was coming – and it was by Rebellion, who made the excellent PC Aliens vs Predator game – the geek in me was threatening to break out and start buying toys in their original packaging for five figure sums. Well, not quite, but I was chuffed to bits to see it would be playable at the expo. I was slightly disappointed to find that the single player story mode wasn't present, but trying out the multiplayer against other human beings – albeit just three of them (the final build will support 18 players) – was the next best thing.

''With Aliens: Colonial Marines being a utter disappointment, a lot of people are looking for something to fill the void. Something to fill that intense atmosphere steeped in tension. People are wanting to feel vulnerable and easily killed. Others wish to play as the ones doing the killing. These are a few alternatives to Aliens: Colonial Marines that will certainly fill the void.''

Death is never nice at the best of time but aliens have really perfected the art of long painful and often repulsive ends. Join us as we look at some of the worst ways to go off world.

News: The CEO and creative director of Sniper Elite V2 developer Rebellion will receive an OBE for “services to the Economy”.
His smiling face makes me want to punch it. For shipping unfinished, bland, and shallow games he should get the absolute opposite of an award.
I'm really looking forward to this, I loved the Aliens vs Predator on the PC (as hard as it was at times). I just hope it's not a fancy gloss of paint with a dumbed down game.
I hope Rebellion have had enough time to make a decent game, unlike the time spent on the pretty poor PSP game a couple of years back.
Hopefully playing as a marine will be just as wet yourself scary as in the original.
I'm sure it will be, as being a bald space marine usually means your an unstoppable force that could destroy a planet, this time he's the weakest guy in the game. Should put the sh!ts up most people.
Man my only exposure to this series was a PC demo of the first game years ago but I remember it scared the hell out of me.
