Fieldrunners is one of those easy to learn, tough to master games in the tower defense genre. The translation from the iPhone/iPod touch platform to a PSP minis game release turns out great and brings along a few bonuses for the ride. Quick loading time, fast jump out/continue options and addictive gameplay makes Fieldrunners a must for PSP gamers.
Tower Defense wasn’t always the default genre on the App Store. In 2008, developers were struggling to find a fit for the iPhone’s large touchscreen, and ports of old JAVA and BREW mobile games just weren’t cutting it. Subatomic Studios was one of the first studios to publish a quality tower defense game on the App Store, and five years later, we’re still playing the Fieldrunners series.

Awesome! Hopefully this encourages more developers and publishers to let the customer set their own price.
