IMO the PS3 demo was terrible. I won't get this game for either 360 or PS3.

Again, I pose the question, are people so fast to condemn the game because it wasn't 100% on the PS3? I played the demo and it played very well for me. I will admit, I've never played the 360 version, but the PS3 version played better than many of the cross-platform games I've tried. Never during the demo was it unplayable due to framerate issues, and I found the colours just fine. People these days are so fast to criticise, it's not even funny. I'll be getting the PS3 version since it played fine for me. I guess I'm in the minority that doesn't judge a game or a company based on a few criteria. Ultimately, I guess the game will be released on the PC. My PC eclipses any performance by the current consoles. I can play any console released game in 60 FPS with maxed settings on my PC. That outclasses the PS3 and the 360. But I still prefer the PS3 controller. And being a longtime gamer of 23 years, I'm still looking forward to the PS3 version. Disagree all you'd like, but that doesn't change my opinion.

But what about the ones that own both consoles? He makes a great point. WIll you get the version that is cheaper? Or do you put up $5 more for the superior version?

I own both consoles. I never have to worry about getting the inferior version because I own both. I will be getting Bayonetta on 360 while FFXIII will be for my PS3 until further notice.

Just checked Amazon. The 360 version is only $2 more. Even better :)

I would be conflicted with the purchase, but I might just buy the PS3 version because I can play everything on my PS3 (60Gb). It's nice when everything from the past 3 generations works on it.

The trend of supporting every generation of consoles seems to be ending, but if Sony releases the PS4 with full backwards compatibility for everything PlayStation I will be happy.

None of the articles about Bayonetta say that. They say the PS3 version is sh*t, don't buy it. Unless the PS3 version is wholly broken and unplayable that might be true, but its only a few color shades. Some frame rate slowdown. And yet its sh*t.

Sega may have failed the general gaming community by not doing a decent port, will suffer for it through poor sales, but what is gaming media doing to the community by calling slight differences "sh*t."

And are they really, have they really, going to say the same-thing about FFXIII? Or are they just going to look for any plus over the PS3 and report that as a killer app?

And you pay $50 a year for Twitter and Facebook too something that PC and PS3 owners get for free so who's the real idiot here

But Bayonetta looks like an overhyped turd. It basically looks like DMC 4 with a female protagonist, and DMC 4 kind of sucked.

Bayonetta looks like a total letdown and is being released in the middle of an explosion of awesome games. Last week I took advantage of Best Buys Buy 2 get 1 Free deal and pickup up Demons SOuls, R&C ACIT, and Sigma 2. I haven't even opened RC or Sigma 2, Demons Souls is F'ing incredible. Add in UC 2 a couple of weeks ago and Dragons Age, MW 2, and Brutal Legend to my buying que and Bayonetta is just going to get lost in the mix.

Bayonetta looks like a very forgettable game.

I'd hold off buying Brutal Legend. It was a good game but a bit of a let down for me. It's the gameplay that suffered for me. It got very repetative and stale. The online is very unstable as well. I'd give it an 8.

It does seem to have become all of a sudden a bit of a fixation. Certainly never received this sort of coverage or anticipation before it scored two points higher on the Xbox than PS3 in that Japanese review.

I suspect there's some sincere folks who are geniunely hyped, but also not a few insincere folks who are eager to make this 'the most important game of 2009!' (type headlines) all of a sudden on account of nothing more than those two points review difference going against the PS3 version on this occasion - had the versions been equal, they possibly wouldn't have cared for it. But that's fanaticism for ya.

And for sure, those people making asinine comments about it being 'better than God of War!' are being deliberately provocative and goofy (given all that is available for GoW is an older demo; the game not coming out for 5 months still and having a pretty damn decent track record. Making those sort of calls this far out to Bayonetta ('two points better on the Xbox!') just eliminates all doubt that you aren't doing anything but trolling.).

Funny thing is that when numbers are released for even Forza 3 the month of November it will have sold more than a million copies. If having over a million copies sold is failing 99.9% of all ps3 games are failures.
