That is not such a bad idea.

UnSelf6042d ago (Edited 6042d ago )

oops wrong post

leila016042d ago

Very soon reviewers will start reviewing demos only...

Sarcasm6042d ago

Umm wouldn't reviewers dock points for being confused on what the heck's going on?

SuperM6042d ago

yea but reviewers wouldnt spoil the ending because they dont know about it. Way to often you'll see tons of spoilers in game reviews

leila016042d ago

I just look at the score and unless it's below 5/10 I probably won't read the review.

No FanS Land6042d ago

That is well thought. However, is it useful? Maybe not. But then again, they could do like hideo kojima did for MGS4.

Applegate6042d ago

Great idea, it looks like theyre really serious on bringing us a truly fanatastic story.

Cant wait.

Raf1k16042d ago

We don't need people spoiling it for us.

erathaol6042d ago (Edited 6042d ago )

That would be dumb. Its like removing the last chapter of a book or taking away the last 15 mins of a movie. Critics are meant to see the whole damn thing to say if its good or not. Your just messing with your own grade if you leave out the conclusion.

raztad6042d ago (Edited 6042d ago )

Well I expect reviews to be unfinished then. I mean, how can you score an incomplete game?

I don't really think it matters, no matter what Remedy does the full version will somehow be pirated and spoilers will be leaked.

nirwanda6042d ago

By plugging up a potential source of a leak you may help to stop the full version getting leaked and maybe MS could use that version to track any pirates

Bathyj6042d ago

So no reviewers will be finishing the game then?

Marceles6042d ago

It seems like most reviewers only play 5 minutes of a PS3 exclusive anyway

jmare6042d ago (Edited 6042d ago )

That's stupid. There's only so many ending it could be without the ending being total bullshit: Happily ever after, His wife dies, He dies, His wife is already dead, He doesn't have a wife, He's insane, It's a dream, He's actually a character in a book someone else is writing. It's not like any of those endings will really be a shock.

Xi6042d ago

or maybe he's got nano-machines...

calis6042d ago

Especially when Silent Hill has done that.

UnSelf6042d ago

or what if the entire time u learn that hes been playin himself on a PS3?

SuperM6042d ago

Might not be a shock, but its pretty damn annoying when you know the ending while playing the game.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran8763d ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

jznrpg175d ago

People sometimes call Wal-Mart Wally World including myself

Tacoboto762d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia763d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Chocoburger763d ago

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie763d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

Profchaos763d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie763d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh763d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.
