Gaming communities are becoming ever so sad now-a-days... they start up petitions because they want it only to themselves. The only way to get Haze as an exclusive at this point is if Sony would dish out the cash... cuz they don't want to just throw out their work on PC and 360. Stupid petition, taken into account that Ubisoft has already announced it to be Playstation 3 exclusive (possibly timed), and that XBOX360 and PC versions -MAY- follow in 2008.

I can understand the desperation of the Sony lot as any 360 owner could if an announcement of Halo 3 were to be made for PS3 (especially if you are Bill Gates) and although it would not really mean the end of the world, it would water down any benefit of a choice of platform over another as inferior versions are always going to occur in such situations.

Why would a company limit the number of people who can buy there game just because an even more limited amount of people "promise" they will buy the game. What if they start a petition asking the company to lower the prices are they going to do that too? Maybe they will make it an exclusive and then raise the prices would people still buy it?

Why does anyone besides employees of Sony care if a third party game is exclusive to Sony or not. Same question goes for Microsoft. If the game is first or second party it will be exclusive. If Sony or MS want to pay companies to make a game exclusive then it will be exclusive. If a company just doesnt want to spend the money making\porting another version then it will be exclsive. If they think they can make money making\porting the game and they are not getting compensitory money from Sony or MS then they should absolutly make the game for both systems.

Please people stop with petitions. As a PS3 owner i find them embarassing. Haze looks like a good game but you should be happy you get to play it a year early. Now if this was MGS4 or final fantasy i could understand.

Video game companies are business, which of some of you might not understand. They are not going to release a game on a system that they will make the least amount of money on. Why anyone would waste their time trying to keep certain games out of the hands of others is beyond me, and also why the insecurity? Ok maybe the PS3 doesn't have a halo 3 killer waiting in the wings, but that is not to say that it doesn't have some other great games to call its own.

I am a 360 owner and if Bungie all of a sudden parted ways with Microsoft and went multi-platform (something that will never happen) I really couldn't care less.

The fact that someone out there is playing the same game as me on another console does not encroach on my enjoyment of playing it.

This is just such a waste of time, if you are a PS3 or a 360 owner, why not spend your time just enjoying your console rather than waste it by

Exclusivity petitions are a waste of time. Companies are around because they love making games but they have to make money to stay in business so of course it will be multiplatform. There will not be many exclusives from third parties this time around.

Haze was always, is and will be a Multiplatform Game, for PS3 (released first) then the PC/Xbox360 released a few months later, most likely just after Christmas or in the New Year to coincide with the US holiday period, and extend the holiday sales before the usual post new year droubt sets in.

So, if you've ever had the misfortune to own and run a major business, then you'll understand the need to make financially critical choices, over what your supporters might think is a good or bad idea. It's the bottom line that matters more than anything else and keeping that front door open. No exceptions. Which is WHY both Ubi and Free Radical have decided to drop the PS3 version first, and then the PC/360 versions later on. For purley economical reasons, not based on which is the BEST platform.

Haze was built on the PC/360 hardware prior to it being started as a PS3 game. All three titles are being built, as we speak. All three have playable code, and Haze 360 has been previewed with screens and code being put up in various mags around the world, some of them reputable publications that definitely check their facts before publishing. So there's NO doubt it's coming for all of us. Xbox360, PC and PS3 users alike

This also happend with regards to Assassin's Creed with Ubi and Sony . . Where Ubi came out at E3 '06 ststing it was coming out on the PS3 . . . what they just didn't say was, that it was also coming to both the PC and 360 as well. An oversight? no, as it was announced as "Assassin" back in April/March '06 with a release date of March '07 for PC, Xbox360 and PS3 (do a search for leaked ubisoft games list)

So when the Sony supporters "thought" they had an Exclusive, then found out that they actually didn't, bad feeling began to emerge. As they were lead to believe that was the case, but it NEVER was, just as Haze never was or is intended to be an PS3 exclusive. Add this to games such as DMC, Virta Fighter, MGS4 (see below), Ace Combat, and several other major titles, it's little wonder they are getting a ttad tesky . . . I would be too.

Especially consideringthat their Pride-n-Joy, MGS4: Guns Of the Patriot which has today been announced that it WILL be coming to the 360, albeit 9-12 months after the PS3 release, but with added VR content, and an extra chapter. So naturally, the Sony supporters who swore black and blue, that that day would NEVER come, has finally come. (Do a google or search N4g for the details) - you'd understand their bitterness.

Square Enix has announced a Xbox360 title called Last Remnant, where many Sony supporters said Square Enix wouldn't make a game solely for the 360 based around the FF series . . well they have, and it's due for release next year, all going well.

All in all, teh days of 3rd party AAA and AA game exclusivness are drawingto a close, due simply to pure economics. Gamer numbers have increased expidentially, yet, unit sale of the PS3 have NOT grown in the same fashion, so the userbase is MUCH smaller this time around, than before when PS2 laucnched.

At that time, the PS2 had no competition to speak of. Developers had no alternative, major format to fall back on, so they had to go with Sony. Now they do not have to do that, with a user base of in excess of 10+ million worldwide, the 360 has a solid userbase developers and publishers can exploit straight off the bat. So why shouldn't they. They spend roughly $US15 - $US30 mil on a game these days, not including promotional and marketing budgets. They NEED to get that back. The ONLY way to get that back is by going Multiplatform, there' sno way of getting around it now.

So I seriously doubt any Publisher and developer will listen to petitions, unless of course they (dev/pub) have designed the petition, to find public opinion on a topic, such as BioShock's Collectors Edition etc. People need to start reading their facts and information before shooting off at the mouth with unsubstanciated petitions such as this. Sure, they are frustrated, but they ARE getting the game first, and they are still getting all the other games - as well . . . just not exclusively any more.

We as gamers need to learn how to share the hobby, not try to keep it to ourselves. It just won't work that way any more, and it'll be up to the publishers and developers who decide that, not a handful of people on a petition.

Why would Ubi even consider such a stupid move this this? It'll have a jittery framerate on the PS3, no doubt. It's going on the PC for sure, and the Xbox cuz it's so easy. Out of all the 3 platforms, the PS3 will more than likely be the inferior platform due to framerate issues due to bluray and a weak online, and i don't think Sony will even consider buying the exclusivity rights to this game.

I mean why people get upset if a game is exclusive or not if it coming to all systems that is a good thing. I mean Playstation 3 owners get to play it, so they need to shout the f*** up and be happy. It is just like DMC 4. People getting all bent out of shape. Get a life! It is a videogame. If Halo 3 came out to PS 3. I could care less. I bought a xbox 360 to play games, own my free time. As long a system is giving me a good quality of games that is all that matters. Then I know I did not waste my money. If I miss out on a game on another system. Oh well. Look how well Sonys Bluray marketing works. They have all the fanboys brainwashed. To imply that the PS3 is superior to a next gaming PC is not only absurd it is down right insulting. Both the PS3 and the 360 are stripped down piles of poo-poo compared to a next gen gaming PC. A gaming PC with all the bells and whistles can cost over 6000 dollars. I want to do a performance test on a high end AMD alienware with An SLI setup on Haze, with the whole game streaming off the hard drive, and see if the PS3 otperforms it. Ha, thats funny......and all these implications because of a Bluray disk. You don't even need a disc to play PC games if you just use the hard drive, although it is an option. Same goes for video game systems. Is warhawk on Bluray gonna be better than if you download it? Um, no it'll be the same. THis whole idea that Bluray is the next Messiah is rediculous. THe PS3 is Sonys trojan horse to beat toshiba and hddvd.........Thats the funny thing....Sony isnt even trying to fight Microsoft, they want to beat Toshiba first

and a note to all you fanboys both XBOX 360, and PS3 to argue over which system is better is pointless. They are already both outdated technologies by PC standards. The PC is what they base the technology for both consoles off of. The only thing truly next gen anymore about either one is the graphics card in the 360. Don't believe the hype about Bluray either. Sony's excuse is because they want to futureproof their system. You can't do that, just compare PS3 to PS1, nuff said

I do not know why people really want this game as the PS3 exclusive. I am not saying this game will be bad. I am looking into this game. But this late in the game's development means not much would charge if Ubisoft said today that it is exclusive. So I for one would prefer a Exclusive game that was made in mind with the PS3 over this.

First, FreeMonk, it would be easy just calling you dumb, but I'll just go with a poor researcher. If you kept up with the current, you'd have known that that Russian site you are quoting with the MGS4 interview is a fake. The letter was rewritten based on the MGS2 game that came to the XBOX in 2003. The whole layout of the letter was kept but the words PS2 and XBOX were changed to this generation of platforms and the game restated as MGS4: Guns of the Patriots. Do you believe everything you hear? You're so gullable. And as for Devil May Cry 4, Virtual Fighter 5, and Assassin's Creed, you again fail to stand out...nice try. Who gives whether or not Devil May Cry 4 and Virtual Fighter 5 stayed exclusive? Those games are probably as lame as your ability to state factual information. Assassin's Creed on the other hand was never even stated as a PS3 exclusive. People assumed it was exclusive because Ubisoft only mentioned PS3 for a good bit of time without stating it was multi-platform. I hope this helps anyone as gullable as this guy from being drawn in on lies so easily.

i just hope for all of us that assassins creed, gta4, DMC4 and haze are not dumbed down because of the 360.

I actually thought you knew what you were talking about for a minute there, XboxOZ360, but it looks like you're shoving everything you got out to make a point. And with that, throwing out a few lies here and there. Read my post on MGS4 somewhere above this to see what I'm talking about. MGS4 is still exclusive fellas and there's nothing changing that. Stick to the truth next time. And rant on some other PS3 issue while you're at it.

Lair has the best soundtrack of a major game flop that I can remember. I still listen to it from time to time on Youtube.

during the PS3 era how many bad games, and studios were shuttered during that era. you get nothing but rose-colored/ perfect hindsight about that now...

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
