I really wouldn't pay around $60 for comics, but only because I don't read em. Making them available on the PSP and iPhone should bring in a few new readers.

Sarcasm6050d ago

Well it's $60 a year for basically an unlimited amount of comics. Comic books were like $10-$15 EACH, so for any comic book fan this service is pretty awesome.

Saaking6050d ago

That's a pretty cool feature, especially for comic fans.

Elvfam5116050d ago

they should lower it to 40 or something but it's a cool feature i wanted to get but that to much

NeoCloud6050d ago (Edited 6050d ago )

I can understand buying for the PSP or iphone but who in their right mind wants to buy comics for PC??? [By the way Comics[Mangas] on the PSP/iphone have been around for awhile now].

NoBias6050d ago

Serious comic readers can blow $30-$60 every Wed!

Don't string that cheap gamer mentality over into something that you all have no clue about ha. You're looking at spending hundreds a year down to $60 a year (Granted, not every title will be available through this service so you'll still be buying some of your certain issues).

Sheikh Yerbouti6050d ago

will cost you 2.99 to 3.99. So this is a great deal. I still will spend my $20 every month. But this is good to get non-reader's interested in comics and current readers interested in other titles.

To think I remember when they were low-res and cost 50 cents at the drugstore.

Does anyone actually read comic these days? This is fail.

Do U read comics or know someone that does? Agree if yes, Disagree if no.

EDIT: WTF this hit 50 deg!

Battlefield6050d ago

I don't know a single person that reads comics...

Madusha6050d ago

Well guess there is if the article hit 90 degrees. I didn't expect over 20.

sashimi6050d ago

Comics? NO Manga? yes but mostly stuff from Japan that aren't in the states yet though...so useless for my psp

Why Dat6050d ago

@ Feral gamer

What is wrong with manga? Just b/c it doesn't appeal to all Western audiences (or individuals like yourself), doesn't mean it doesn't deserve any support whatsoever. There is always a vocal community out there that supports things outside of North America. It's called "taste".

Judging from your comment history, it seems you have quite the xenophobic/anti-eastern tone. Racist people like you don't deserve to speak at all.

@ Sashimi
I'm sure Sony will catch on soon (they are probably negotiating), b/c manga is huge in Europe (I think) and Japan, (for sure) so it is natural they might bring it to North America too.

Feral Gamer6050d ago (Edited 6050d ago )

Who would want to look at comics on a small screen? I read some graphic novels and couldn't imagine the pictures being any smaller.

Sarcasm6050d ago

They have a zoom in feature and auto-play where it automatically pans what you're supposed to read. So it's not like you're squinting your eyes the entire time or something.

TotalPS3Fanboy6050d ago

it reminds me of the cutscenes from inFamous. Very interesting way of reading comics.

Feral Gamer6050d ago (Edited 6050d ago )

I'd rather see the images closer to actual size. They look better and show more detail you might not get in a digital version. I don't want to scroll around a page to view an entire scene.

So it's just Marvel comics? I don't like Marvel. I prefer Vertigo stuff like Sandman, The Preacher, gritty stuff, not spandex wearing characters. The Dark Tower is pretty good, though. Plus Marvel sold out to Disney

TVippy6050d ago

It's very cheap, how can you say it's expensive?!

Elvfam5116050d ago

expensive because I want to get into reading comics and if don't like it lost 60 bucks

NoBias6050d ago (Edited 6050d ago )

Then take your lazy ass to a store and buy an issue for a few dollars, genius...

Sheikh Yerbouti6050d ago (Edited 6050d ago )

spend $10 for the first month to try it out. The cost of 2-3 comics. You can keep that plan or save by paying for an annual subscription.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio26d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing26d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9226d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit26d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing26d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9226d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
