Rocksteady Hints At Batman Sequel

GOONL!NE writes: "Speaking in Issue 38 of Official Playstation Magazine (out now), Sefton Hill replied to the question of whether gamers would see a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum by saying this:

'I'm not really allowed to comment on that, but there are definitely lots of exciting stories to tell in Batman's world, and I can say that we're really privileged to work on it, and excited about future possibilities.'"

These guys are like the Christopher Nolan of the videogame world. As long as these guys handle the sequel I think it will be fine. I had very few problems with B:AA, but the boss fights were amazing, and I would like to see ScareCrow again, because that last fight was epic(if you know what I am talking about), and it had people saying "I think the game broke my PS3/360/PC."

One of the few titles that I was compelled to play until the finish this year. With my busy schedule, and stack of half played games, that says a lot. lol

Fulfill my dream of a Gotham City sandbox!!!

LinuxGuru6051d ago

No, batman needs linear scripting. With a sandbox, we'd end up saving the same stupid woman from a goon 5,000 times, stopping the scarecrow 20 times, preventing bank robberies 3,000 times...you get my point.

Unless they could somehow not water down the batman experience and make it open-world...I don't want it.

it could be incredible. I'm not saying there needs to be civilian-saving side missions around every corner, but a sandbox done in a linear fashion could be a great experience, kind of like the structure of Assassin's Creed 2.

Sweet! Bring on more of the quality stuff from Batman: AA, and I'm sure we'll all be pleased =)
