BrutalGamer.com:- Mass Effect 2 Hands-On Impressions

BrutalGamer.com writes:-
We catch up with Shepherd and the gang at Eurogamer Expo 2009

2007's Mass Effect was a top notch space combat and role playing title all rolled in to one long, extensive elevator ride. The game was well written and fairly well executed but it suffered from bouts of slow pacing, quirky graphic glitches, a loose and prey bland combat system and some of the longest elevator journeys you would ever of been on. That said Mass Effect was such a compelling game that these issues were mostly overlooked. EA have gone on record with the games producers at Bioware to state that they have addressed all these major gripes in the upcoming sequel. Well shall we see if they are in deed as "fixed" as we have been lead to believe?

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman521d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave769d ago (Edited 769d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
