The first part about the plot occuring between MGS2 and MGS4 was a good analysis and that's what most fans predicted but the rest is just pure BULLSHIT!

1) The game is called "Metal Gear Solid: Rising" and not "Metal Gear: Rising"
2) For the 100th time, SOLID in "Metal Gear Solid" DOES NOT refer to the series protagonist Solid Snake. SOLID refers to 3D, the name was added to "Metal Gear" when Metal Gear shifted from 2D to 3D.
3) That is RAIDEN and it was confirmed by Kojima and in the trailer!! So no, THAT is neither Sunny nor Gray Fox. Let this idea rest for good.
4) It's not an ACTION game, Kojima was fast to confirm that it's still a "Stealth-Espionage" game. Remember, we don't know what "Lightning Bolt Action" really stands for. A fan theorized that it has to do with ancient japanese ninja stealth, that's where the term "Lightning" came from. Lightning = Fast, Ninjas are stealthy and fast so his theory might be true.
5) As far as the story goes, it is not a SPIN-OF, and KOJIMA himself confirmed that the story is "orthodox" to the Metal Gear franchise, in other words, CANON.

Last but not least, we haven't seen ANYTHING about Rising besides one SCREENSHOT and we don't have enough informations to confirm except for what Kojima told us so far.

By the way, Kojima will be more involved in Rising and he will be acting more than just a regular "producer".

Gray Fox was never ever referred to in the series as Raiden it was either Gray Fox, Frank Jaeger, or Null

So that's one theory down.

Two reasons I'm not hyped:

1. MGS4 ended on a perfect note for me.

2. Raiden.

in fact this article itself is wrong, scratch that, the author is just point blank wrong.

the story should answer exactly what happened to raiden, when he became cyborg. yes, i know they answer it but they can make the game answer his side of the story. all we know is that he was on a mission and a claymore took him down. i want to see what was the mission about and see the exact details of him getting blown to bits.

It seem like Kojima want Snake life to end with playstation.

I'm a metal gear fan and I'm not hype to Rising.
I just have doubt.
usually multi platform always gimp like Tekken 6.

All I want is snakes life to end well with playstation I think we all playstation fans agree with this we don't want to see snake on another console is just not right snake deserves his place only on the playstation that's all I need. About raiden idk man without snake is not the same thing bro and its not going to be playstation exclusive so we have 2 see how this goes.

Wait, MGS4 cannot be the last MGS. I saw the end cutscene to that game. I believe there is a major reason why Kojima made it so that Old Snake didn't shoot himself at the end. There's got to be more to the story.

His condition is reversible. I think Kojima can introduce a deus ex machina to save Snake.

Just like Alice in Chains; No Layne no band. Tour all you want, play the old hits but without the voice and soul it is simply an empty shell.

It's like playing Ninja Gaiden then all of a sudden you're that chick. IT SUCKS BALLS.
