@gaffyh: In your opinion, GtA is a pile if sh1t....in my opinion it's a great game(overrated by cirtics, over hated by "gamers" online), I think UC2 is a better game than it (even though they can not really be compared) but if I would round my scores by whole numbers (e.g a 9.4= 9) both would be 9's, and by the looks of it the episodes have the greatness of 4 with all those amazing extras...can't wait for the disc.

Why is there so much hate towards GTAIV, especially from PS3fanboys. Is it because it went to 360 ?? I just dont know.

The game was awesome, and deserved every 10 it got. And who gave you the right to tell us what games we like and dont.

I don't hate GTA4, but I've hardly been compelled to even finish it. Frankly, it's boring compared to San Andreas. Repetitive and lacks that variety that past GTAs had. I would have prefered 2 or 3 polished MP modes instead of a ton of mediocre ones. And the aiming STILL sucks.

Not a bad game, just not the ZOMG PERFECT title that so many critics claim it to be.

I haven't played R&C yet, but if it's anything like Tools of Destruction (which all reports say it is), if it retains the humor of the series (no doubt), and if it contains more absolutely brilliant and unique gameplay like the Clank scenario from the demo, then I just don't understand how it doesn't deserve better than a 7. The graphics are great, the level design is top-notch, the story is interesting, the humor is brilliant, the tone is fun, and the time-based puzzles ARE brilliant and new to the series even though all these critics say that the series doesn't bring anything new. Based on the demo, I can tell that this game will be a helluva brilliant platforming experience with a lot of humor to boot. It's my most-wanted game for the rest of 2009. These scores of 7 out of 10 just come off as completely pretentious and missing the point to me.

Edge gave Tools of Destruction a 7/10 as well. I think it's safe to say that if the basic formula has stayed the same (it has), then they can't justify giving it a higher score because they don't fundamentally enjoy the basic formula. (Which kind of makes you think that they shouldn't be the ones reviewing it but hey)

@1.9 - Actually I got GTA4 for 360, I just hate GTA in general. All of them are overrated imo. And if any GTA deserved 10, it was probably only San Andreas which kept me playing for a decent amount of hours, even though I hate GTA. Also GTA4 is the WORST in the series, which is why I said gamers dislike it. Seems like Xbox only owners hold on to this POS like it was the best game ever, when most other gamers agree that GTA4 did not deserve the amount of perfect scores it got.

Find EDGE's 360 exclusive games that score 7.

it didn't have half of the things the last fews games had (ie: owning properties or businesses)
the gameplay was boring (ie: bowling and playing darts)
no customization of anything

add to the fact that R* said it wasn't the game they wanted to make because of 360 limitations and you easily have the worst game in the GTA series. i have both of the previously released games for the PSP and both were much better than GTA IV. in no way did it deserve a 10......maybe a 9......

Yeah I think Banjo is the only one they flopped. The rest of the 360's "AAA" games are never flopped by Edges standards. Just PS3 exclusives & LBP/Uncharted are the rare exceptions so they can continue flopping the rest of the PS3's lineup.

Didn't Edge give 50 cent: Blood on the Sand an 8? 50 cent > R&C? KZ2? Borderlands? Wow why are they seen as credible gaming media source.

You call everyone an extremist yet whatever is inside your skull simply decides to ignore the mountains of evidence that GTAIV is overrated. Great? Yes. Perfect? Not a chance. It was technically disappointing by next-gen standards, especially if you compare it to San Andreas which is a last-gen game.

Who cares about EDGE anyway? "They won awards" lol yeah. The same people that used to trust reviews so much also trust reviews of reviewers, that's pretty funny, but hey at least you guys are consistent (then again, not really, you're usually hypocrites). EDGE is nothing but a bunch of pretentious c0cks. As for Xbox 360 games, half of the time they have given it a score higher than average which seems relatively "unbiased" as it would imply they rate half of them lower too (that's assuming also that there's no overall bias in the press and that companies don't buy scores *cough* Halo 3 *cough*), but then you see scores for PS3 exclusives from EDGE and on more than 90% of occasions, they get scored lower than average. That reflects a HUGE bias from EDGE against PS3 or Sony or whatever, even if we assume there's no overall press bias.

Oh, and why would anyone care about what an Xbox extremist (who, even if it doesn't matter, has 1 bubble), like you, has to say?

See the highest rated game? Then tell me what place is GTAIV in? Yeah. Well, that's a much more accurate representation. It takes in mind what gamers (consumers) and media (paid lobbyists and/or experts, you decide) think, a ponderated average. Zelda 64 was the best game ever, there are also other Nintendo games (Mario), Golden Eye (formerly rare, then free radical, today crytek), GTAIV (great game, but certainly not the best ever), Metal Gear franchise (who can disagree?), The Orange Box (again, who disagrees?) so it's pretty accurate. GTAIV is a great and solid 9.5, not a 10.

Every Ratchet and Clank game has been great in it's own way. I love everyone of them except I still haven't played the first XD. I'm going to do that over CHRISTMAS break.
