This is unacceptable for any games on any console...

I have to admit, being that this is gearbox I had my doubts. However I bought the game from toyrsus as part of the buy 3 for 2 deal and started it last night. 3 hours in I didn't realize it was 2am and i had work the next morning. Very solid game and it grew on me big time! Can wait to play more. It's a bit of a grind but like Demon's Souls it's addictive! Also althought the tech is not that great I am really feeling the art design!

Guys go buy it so we have more people to play with. I am sure they will fix the online issues soon. As for the frame rate both consoles suffer from it so I doubt a patch is coming for it but who really cares Fallout 3 had the same issues.

As long as they fix the issue soon, it's all good. Can't wait to pick up a copy.

It seems that for me the: Friend list, invite, and join games have been fixed thus far. The main problems I see now are the: Frame rate drops, mic lag, and then mic is just garbled. I seriously hope that they get on the latter few as well with the incoming patch.

Glad this game is selling well the amount of activity on Xbox Live shows that these shortages are real.

Alot of people are jumping in with this game.

Good job Gearbox hope you get enough funds to create a bigger and better Borderlands sequel.

I'd like to see an MMO of this game. They've got the near limitless loot thing going. They just need to create a bigger world, character customization, more vehicle types and twice as many missions and I think they've got themselves a decent MMO (no monthly charges please).

Well they are already hard at work on creating what hopefully turns out to be well worth it DLC we will see though. Got the game from gamefly the other day an I plan on buying it so I'm hoping the DLC is good an not overpriced priced like some games.

Also like someone else said the mic needs to come in clearer an the loading times are quite long. So year pretty much the mic an the load times would be nice an maybe adding in custom music option for the PS3. Maybe with the introduction of cross game chatting it won't be such an issue but god knows when we will get that.

it's great that it's being bought, and I applaud them for fixing up the PS3 version

ever since XIII came out I really loved the cell shaded artstyle in games. I probably wouldn't have tried it if it didn't have such a style like that

Despite Borderlands Movie Flop, Series Saw Boost in Sales; Take-Two to Be Selective on Licensing IPs

Take-Two admits the Borderlands movie was disappointing, though it still contributed to the game catalog's sales.

"we don’t really need to break out the contribution from the film because while it was economically positive"

Come on, there was nothing positive about it, it literally bled money...not really economically.

Daeloki590d ago

No there was not. The same way there was no Dragon Ball live action movie, nor an Avatar the Last Airbender live action movie :)

Polish a turd to make a what?!

DefenderOfDoom2590d ago (Edited 590d ago )

So the movie cost 155 million to produce and another 30 million dollars to promote . Borderlands movie brought in around 31 million worldwide . So basically, the Borderlands movie was a 154 million commercial for Borderlands video game franchise.
