"Unlike previous Call of Duty games on PC -- and most other first-person shooters, not to mention most other genres, too -- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be shipping without the usual multiplayer server browser, instead making use of a new matchmaking service called IWNet. A petition asking Infinity Ward to reconsider its decision to allow traditional dedicated servers has now been signed by nearly 130,000 individuals. Amazon.co.uk's reviews section for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 is littered with more than 125 1-star reviews, most all of which are complaining about IWNet and the perceived restraints it brings with it. It's clear that we're not dealing with a few fanboys who are crying foul, even if it is nothing more than the vocal minority."
Here is a look at the first two maps of Season 6 for Multiplayer.
La Casa involves intense action in a Vill and Koro Village is a battle in the streets where enemies lurk at all angles and shadows.

Modern Warfare 3 is set to be one of the biggest COD games yet features-wise, but it shouldn't leave out one of the best MW2 game modes in the rear view mirror.

Some alleged Modern Warfare 2 pay-to-win elements were recently added, see what they are here and how they work.
The DOG is legit Broken if ur hiding in a room or grass he turns his head even if ur behind a closed door he turns his head and barks letting them know where u at thats PAY TO WIN!!!!!
Probably gonna see more of this BS once the deal is fully done..Gotta recoup that 70B.
No way !!! Nobody wouild think they would monetize on items that weak asses will use to get advantage during multiplayer action !!! I would never think they would do that ... I mean is a free to play game after all ! /S
Wait once M$ will put their greasy hands all over Activizion and you will see what awaits the "lucky" ones who will play this slot machine of a game. Sooooo Lame !
Seriously, how hard would it be to have the match making system AND dedicated servers?
Valve actually god matchmaking done right for L4D's lobby system. People host dedicated server, and when you make a lobby for your friends, you're automatically assigned to a dedicated server based on ping and location. If there's no dedicated servers available, or you chose to, you can run a P2P server off your machine. COD MW2 could easily use this kind of system. The lobby system could help give use to all the empty servers, while the people that want to pay for the dedicated servers can still use them the same way they would in previous COD games.
I for one don't like sitting in a lobby after every match, or waiting for the match to get started. I like continual play. IW has lost touch with their entire original fanbase.
why would I want IWNet when I have a console? I buy the pc version of a game for a reason, and IW need to acknowledge that.
The no matching is just an attempt at curving pirating. It's really obvious. They are trying to hide that fact, but that is the sad truth of the matter.
I have absolutely no problem with the matchmaking, as long as other options are available.
This sucks. This whole situation makes me want to retreat into CSS.
Because they are cry babies and whine and whine if they don't get everything their way 100%. They threaten to pirate, and when they do get their way, they pirate anyway.
