NPD: Top Selling PC Software For September 2009

G4TV writes:

"We tend to focus on console games at G4, but yes, it's true: the PC still exists! And hopefully we'll have a better idea of how the platform's performing, as the NPD Group will be releasing monthly top 20 software sales lists for the PC. The dataaren't as detailed -- for example, we have no numbers -- but it does provide a snap shot of what buying habits are for the PC. Right now? MMOs."

Lack of every digital distribution platform makes this sales data moot.

NCsoft's becoming a force, not to be reckoned with.

no shooters on the list....

very interesting

anyone care to comment as to why that might be?

Nihilism6060d ago

as far as i'm aware there haven't been any shooters released recently for pc, unless operation flashpoint has, and that game was never going to me as popular as cod etc

Dread6060d ago

yes but there are some games on the list that are a few years old..

Tehdaza6060d ago

Most people buy shooters off Steam or D2D. That's why I stated my comment above.

Operation Flashpoint uses a p2p type MP system like the new CoD is. those games dont sell well.
