The developers never said this game was exclusive to PS3, hence why it was always stated as ‘Leading on PS3‘. That itself implies that other versions have always been in development, just that programming first for PS3 (prob' have 6 months lead before other versions come out). They would do this as they have a strong background with Sony's PS.

In 2006 they stated that 360 and PC versions also in development, but i'll bet it won't take long for xbots fanboys to start shouting ‘hey, another ps3 exclusive lost’. They can be so predictable, so lets just stick to the facts, and not have another flame war.

For Ubi to be dissing Halo, I haven't seen much they are doing different in this game, from your next Gen shooter. I guess it's only me, we all know most games will look good graphics wise, but after seeing some videos, I don't see much innovation, in relations to what Ubi was talking.

Not that I'm complaining, an FPS games is still, just an FPS game.

This morning, Ubisoft revealed that the PS3 is now the "lead platform" for Free Radical's forthcoming shooter, Haze. Originally set for a release on the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 this spring, the game will now debut solely on the PS3 this fall.

When contacted by GameSpot, Ubisoft reps were somewhat cagey. "Haze is leading on PS3, but no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced," a spokesperson said. This leaves open the possibility that the game could arrive on the 360 and PC sometime in 2008.

I'll Play Halo 3, Bioshock and Half Life thanks a bunch

They said at Ubidays that they were developing for PS3, XBOX360 and PC. HOWEVER, their publishing company Ubisoft pointed to a exclusivity of the title to the Playstation 3 platform and mentioned that 360 and PC version MAY follow. There hasn't been anything to contradict that as of yet. Developers can program all they want, but unless they get a company to publish for them, only the versions the publisher wants will hit the shelves.

Who knows, maybe there are talks going on in the background that we don't know. Free Radical says one thing, Ubisoft says another.

haven't been having problems developing on the hardware. Hopefully that means a smooth framerate without compromises. I'm very satisfied with the screens I've seen though(assuming that they are from the PS3 version), and this is the TS team, so I'm pretty confident that they'll deliver on this one.

it makes sense, like it or not any FPS released (for 360 owners) near the same time frame as Halo3 will be overshadowed because of all the Halo3 buzz. This game looks great and I like the ideas Ubi has for this game so I'm sure the 360 version will sell much better if released a few months after Halo3 hype has calmed down a bit....personally while I think GRAW2 was a good game, it wasn't a must have for me since I didn't think it offered much more than the first game, but Haze however seems to have a little "meat" with the potatoes. Its crazy but 360 owners are a very impatient bunch and like a fat kid at a buffet, they can't resist a decent FPS!....somehow I think Ubi/Free Radical knows exactly what their doing.

I'm just happy that there are second party developers building their games based on the PS3 programming. It's pretty rare to see any company to build around the Playstation 3 first. Its also going to the 360 so it should be interesting to see how there ports come out. It's just odd to see the opposite happening after 6 or 7 months of Xbox ports to the PS3.

so where was the ps3 exclusive the ubisoft ceo was supposed to announce? Either way though the game looks great. I like some of the gameplay ideas. The vehicle i saw was cool but it was pretty much moving on a race track so dnt knw how cool thats gonn abe. All in all it has potential to be better than halo but we'll jst have to wait and see on that one

Didn't we already know this? It seems the developer wants to release after the hype of Halo 3 for 360 and before Killzone 2 for PS3.

I guess you can say it will be hard to earn cash in the FPS genre with 2 potential heavywieghts taking up all the hype. Let's just hope that both games can deliever.

The only decent thing about your ps3 is the blu ray player. and thats not even a for sure format yet. My pc does all the rest much better. You do have a game that was designed for the ps3 and it's all powerful hardware, It's called motorstorm isn't it? Wow that a head turner. Oh and you have Lair coming out also. That looks pretty good if you are into that sort of game. I am sure all you ps3 fans will be into the game no matter what it's about, because you have nothing else to pick from.

Although I may have a PS3 also by next year, I may not, it really depends on the games and price drop. This game is not a system seller for me. I would not have bought a PS3 to play it, but it was on my "to buy" list since it was originally listed Multi. Thus, I am happy to get it confirmed it is going to be on the system I already have.

Lair has the best soundtrack of a major game flop that I can remember. I still listen to it from time to time on Youtube.

during the PS3 era how many bad games, and studios were shuttered during that era. you get nothing but rose-colored/ perfect hindsight about that now...

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
