i just cant fathom fanboys mentality to the extent that you hate a piece of plastic so much that you'd deny yourself the experience of amazing software because of the plastic required to play it... football i can understand but games consoles i just cant

redgaurd6066d ago

And Im an expert in human psycology...... ok im kidding I don't know sh!t about psycology.

Those games are obviously the most anticpated and exciting games at present so no surprise

badz1496066d ago

you even spelled it wrong! it's psychology

pppppeach6066d ago

HAHAHAHAHAH the 360 won the award best console on firstlook hahahahhahahahahahaha

Syronicus6066d ago

I'm going to guess that there are more PS3 fans who own a 360 than 360 fans who own a PS3. That being said, it is a fact that PS3 fans are more knowledgable about the other sice of things and the 360 fans only know one console. That is why they hate, because ignorance breeds hatred and they are the most ignorant of them all.

"It's a 2 way street fella"

You are right, but at least sony fanboys have the decency to defend what they like, but xbox fanboys blindly bash, deny and spin news

- how you know that? you are a fanboy!!!
- ehhh... who told you!? X·

Bot Smasha6066d ago

Bots are getting pwned alot these last few days. I have been really busy collecting tears , i need a break

Obama6066d ago

Remember how the bots were hyping ODST as the GOTY? I don't think any site would be stupid enough to give that award to an overrated expansion pack.

dreamcast6066d ago

Serious question... wtf is Firstlook?

Godmars2906066d ago

Apparently a game convention somewhere in the Netherlands.

Also going to go out on a limb and say the site reporting this might be a bit slanted towards the PS3. Given that the site has PS3 in the title.

RememberThe3576066d ago

This is a pretty pointless post...

Sarcasm6066d ago

How did this get approved?

Everyone already knows that Uncharted 2, GT5, and Modern Warfare 2 are the best in their respective genres.

:)

kaveti66166066d ago

Whoa, whoa. I humbly disagree about MW2. I think it's a great FPS shooter, one of the best, but I'm not sure that it's the undisputed best. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is looking to push for gold.

RememberThe3576066d ago (Edited 6066d ago )

If you put the fanboyism aside (I'm not talking to you Kevet), IW makes some REALLY good games. If Battlefield Bad Company 2 can capture the same drama the COD4 was able to, then it will be a serious fight. But we'll have to see what DICE does with it. IW was able to tell a great story with COD4, and I think that they're going to do it again with MF2, even though I f*cking hate Activition...

Sarcasm6066d ago

While I agree that BFBC2 is going to kick some major rear end. I still think we're going to be surprised by MW2. Even though it does look like MW1.5 in some of the videos. And yes despite their arrogant attitude and being ran by Activision, they still make some kick-butt games. It's been two years since I first experienced COD4's single player, and it blew me away. I have high hopes for MW2.

Swiftfox6066d ago (Edited 6066d ago )

In fairness I.W has had awhile to get this formula right for their shooter. They've done nothing since they came together except the Call of Duty franchise.

I would like to see I.W step away from Call of Duty, just to see them out of their comfort zone and truly test themselves as developers. I feel the same way about Bungie as well (only lesser since they had games before Halo).

I remember Call of Duty 4's single player. I made the mistake of being new to the franchise and started the game on Veteran. Oops. After 10 hours, 3 controllers, 5 aneurisms, and a smoking crater that used to be my head I managed to finish it. Even the Mile High level. While the story was solid, it was more me being impressed by the quality of the experience I.W provided. The story didn't meet my personal standards, but yes the overall experience was top notch.

The fear is with Modern Warfare 2 is if that experience will feel tired and dated now.

Sarcasm6066d ago

"I feel the same way about Bungie as well (only lesser since they had games before Halo). "

TBH I think it's a good thing for all developers to step out and do something fresh. It can really pay off for them. For example, Naughty Dog did Jak & Daxter and then came out of nowhere with Uncharted. And now what we have is Uncharted 2.

Hopefully after Uncharted 3, we'll see something else. Maybe even on the PS4.

DaTruth6066d ago

Bungie did Oni, a completely different game than Halo and a PS2 system seller for me!

And I guess I have MS to thank for the reason there's no part 2... That or maybe it didn't sell good, but I think MS bought them like 2 yrs later.

Uncharted 2 Is the Most Important PlayStation Exclusive of All Time

In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.

gold_drake569d ago

it was pretty good. especially the multiplayer

KyRo569d ago

I loved this era on multiplayer games from Sony. People used to call the modes tacked on multiplayer but they were enjoyable. I loved Factions even more. I'm Still gutted that the second one isn't coming out.

-Foxtrot569d ago

Yeah, that one game where it not only has an amazing single player but the multiplayer was also just as good.

A fresh a breath air with it's more "skill focused, less is more" multiplayer in a time during COD fever where every other game with online was trying to be like it.

Shame NaughtyDog eventually did do COD like things with Uncharted 3 and 4, they ruined what made the original so good. It become an over the top arcade fest in the end.

Inverno569d ago

Ironic cause the MP was basically Halo, and Bungie helped on the technical side of things too. MP was more simple back then, I've said this before but I played U2 MP religiously. I sucked at it like you have no idea, but mah gawd did I have so much fun. Can't find an MP game that hooked me like U2s these days. Then Factions came along and while it had its problem I found new religion with it. Agh damn it why did they cancel Factions 2 bruhh.

gold_drake569d ago

i had so much fun too, played almost every night with mates or cousins baha

Relientk77569d ago

It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.

RaidenBlack569d ago (Edited 569d ago )

Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...

RaiderNation569d ago

I would argue it's God of War.

darthv72569d ago

I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
