GamePro: Borderlands Review

GamePro writes: "See, the encounter with Sledge, and the small side-quests leading up to him, made one thing very clear to me: Borderlands is built with multiplayer in mind, and since none of my friends are online to help me out, I'm taking him on solo. But each enemy encounter is so obviously designed with multiplayer in mind that it takes away from the single-player experience. Each battle presents you with numerous tactically advantageous positions to exploit, one for each of the game's four characters. The sniper Mordecai has plenty of vantage points to take shots from; side routes let the sneaky Lilith slip by undetected before blowing baddies to bits; Roland's heavy gunning is protected behind plenty of cover; and Brick's fists efficiently clean any up-close-and-personal clocks."

Dammit! Somehow I feel if I try to tackle this like the Demon's Souls way I'll be relieving everything that game threw at me again, only this time it will be with Guns instead of swords and stuff!

Oh well I'll get used to the single-player I suppose. Though there is one thing I'd like to know is it Drop in and out co-op or lobby..? I don't think I've seen a reviewer state this yet, then again I have not read a lot of them yet.

ever since XIII came out I really loved the cell shaded artstyle in games. I probably wouldn't have tried it if it didn't have such a style like that

Take-Two admits the Borderlands movie was disappointing, though it still contributed to the game catalog's sales.

"we don’t really need to break out the contribution from the film because while it was economically positive"

Come on, there was nothing positive about it, it literally bled money...not really economically.

No there was not. The same way there was no Dragon Ball live action movie, nor an Avatar the Last Airbender live action movie :)

So the movie cost 155 million to produce and another 30 million dollars to promote . Borderlands movie brought in around 31 million worldwide . So basically, the Borderlands movie was a 154 million commercial for Borderlands video game franchise.
