Looks like this could be a good series, i plan to make a thread about it and hopefully get it stickied in the pc forums, if anyone can save themselves money+ get a better pc for less than the retail cost= happy times
Every year, I upgrade my parts or just overhaul the whole computer if I think its not going to be able to handle the newer games. I love building my own computer because it is cheaper for me and lasts longer in the long run. It really is not that hard to build one but for some people its almost impossible.
Once 8 core processors come out, I'll most likey upgrade my computer again even if games are not using it. It just feels good to have all that extra power in case you need it one day.
There are tons of videos and tutorials on how to build a PC. Just to let you know, anyone with some basic computer knowledge can build a PC nowadays. Just make sure stuff is compatible with each other. Newegg.com and TigerDirect.com are the two most common sites to buy computer parts. Also in terms of videos, here is one as an example done in two parts.

Also, I have built my own rigs and have a degree in IT so I have some credibility I think.
When building your own PC, most items plug in one-way and the rest just requires a little manual reading.
