A team of coders are working on a freeware fan remake of X-Com: Enemy Unknown, titled UFO: The Two Sides. Article has some screenshots and a link to both a gameplay video and the public beta.
Of the two new X-COMs coming out, THIS will be the one I am looking forward to.

I think its too early to judge the FPS Xcom as we haven't seen much of it.

Not only do I love being a PS3 gamer, but I love actually having an above average PC for my gaming purposes. We PC users are really lucky to be gaming on PC, the prices are much lower then the console prices, and not only that, but we can play our games with better textures and at full 1080p :)

What does the PS3 even have to do with this story ? This story is about the great deals available on steam on the PC. I can only guess you are under the impression steam is coming to the PS3 ... it IS NOT you are just getting some features of steamworks such as auto updating and cloud saving.
Oh Topic : This has to be the fifth time GTA 4 has been sold for about 5 bucks and none of the other deals seem that great so it is another day where my credit card stays firmly in my wallet.

if ps3 did allow steam and digital downloads for games... it would be huge... but steam beats xbox live any day of the week for chatting and making friends nad voice communication.
Very good game! I would run through GTA IV again. Been some interesting expansion packs for it too
Never played these games but I hear they're classics.
Strategy fans who have never experienced this game should check it out especially at such a low price. The strategy elements, graphics, sound and gameplay mechanics all blend together for an experience that still to this day keeps it at the top of the strategy genre. Also the tech trees, various skills of characters, the multi-tier levels within a map really made this a special game. It is a difficult game though. Maybe one day there will be a remake,spiritual successor maybe even a sequel, I hope.
a truly amazing game (the first one, x-com ufo defense) I played it to death, heh i played it on my playstation with the playstation mouse and playstation mousepad :D , but sadly its one of those games that if you've never played something like this and you fire it up today you will more than likely turn it off after a few secs. It just does not stand up today. And this is why someone needs to make a GOOD remake or something.
