Nice, a lot earlier than I expected, also don't think January is too crowded, so should be good for sales.

SnuggleBandit6060d ago

so ps3 gets ME1 and ME2 on one bluray in Junish??

deadreckoning6666060d ago (Edited 6060d ago )

Not bad... if it comes to PS3 I hope PS3 owners actually buy it and support it. We all know PS3 owners don't buy as many games as 360 owners...FACT. Fanboys need to do less yappin and more buyin.

BTW: Has anyone noticed that there have been NO Uncharted 2 day one sales figures announced yet? I would assume that the "best game this gen" would have sales records through the roof.

joydestroy6060d ago (Edited 6060d ago )

that's the same day as MAG's release date

Darksiders: Wrath of War – 01/01/10
Dark Void - 01/10/10
*MAG (PS3) – 01/26/10
*ME2 (X360) - 01/26/10

and that looks pretty crowded to me.

SullyDrake6060d ago

Mass Effect 2 hasn't been announced for PS3 yet, sadly, nor has the first one.

Regardless, day one buy.

The 16060d ago (Edited 6060d ago )

No one ever said "probably PS3" that was made up.

Tony P6060d ago

That's pretty cool. I thought it would come in Spring for sure. I'd wondered why they kept showing so much of the game so "early".

StanLee6060d ago

Let's recap; Darksiders, Dark Void, Army of Two: The 40th Day, Mass Effect 2 and Bayonetta in January and Lost Planet 2, Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno in the first weeks of February. That's a very crowded start to 2010.

Lucreto6060d ago

Final Fantasy XIII in March.
WKC sometime in February as well

gaffyh6060d ago

@1.3 - Actually not too crowded according to your list. None of those games conflicts with each other (in terms of genre), and personally I'm wanting only ME2, because MAG wasn't my type of game tbh (from the beta).

BYE6060d ago

Dante's Inferno is in January, too.

SullyDrake6060d ago

They're all mere preparation for the colossal God Of War III. =D

Bnet3436060d ago

Damn, January is kind of early. I was expecting a Spring release, maybe March. Sounds good anyway. Will be picking this up for sure. Go BioWare!

iChaos Amongus6060d ago (Edited 6060d ago )

I'm excited looking at 360's line-up for the next year to year 1/2.

Halo ODST last month, Forza 3 and GTA Expansion this month, Left 4 Dead 2 next month, Mass Effect 2 in January, Splinter Cell: Conviction in Feb., Alan Wake in March, Crackdown 2 and Fable III sometime next year, Halo: Reach around September next year and there could be many announcements at 2010 E3 like there was this year, not to mention Natal and its games shipping. Possibly a new 360 design in 2010 too.

I'm pretty stoked for Mass Effect 2, my favorite RPG ever :)

Natsu X FairyTail6060d ago

Hell yeah. good start for the year 2010.

dgroundwater6060d ago

:O So early! Ahh! Gotta tell my friends to not spend all their cash on boxing day!

blackboyunltd6060d ago

can't wait to get my hands on this

callahan096060d ago

Well I guess MAG will have to wait then because if I'm buying one of these two games on that day it'll have to be Mass Effect 2.

PLAYSTATIONGENRATION6060d ago

I am a big fan of a multiplayer experience...Mass effect 2 will be great but with no co op or multiplayer i can always come back to it

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast527d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine527d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast527d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman527d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast526d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave775d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan775d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave775d ago (Edited 775d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
