CheatCC says, "Some players will undoubtedly lament the loss of expansive construction mechanics and the more elaborate character relationship building found in past games, but EA set out to switch things up with a more plot-focused game. The experiment is largely a success, and anyone with even a passing interest in the MySims franchise will find Agents' adorable characters, funny story, and other endearing qualities outweigh any minor foibles that arise along the way. You have many hours of investigating ahead, so get to it!"
PBG says some things, and then MySims Agents happens.

Gamertell has posted a positive review of EA's MySims Agents for Wii.
From the review:
"While both prior MySims games were straightforward simulation and adventure games, where you'd need to create building and furniture on request, MySims Agents breaks away from the simulation elements and is strictly an adventure game. After playing, I'm pleasantly surprised and would consider MySims Agents my favorite entry in the series."

About writes: "Kid's games. For me, the phrase brings to mind tedious exercises in bland, cloying dialogue, nonsensical stories and dumbed-down, poorly implemented gameplay; games no one over ten could enjoy. But sometimes, just sometimes, a game aimed at children is just plain fun. Such is the case with MySims Agents."
