PCGH has posted screenshots and a comparative picture of a Crysis modification that transfers the original Far Cry (1) from the Cryengine 1 to the Cryengine 2 of Crysis (Warhead). according to them the modder has to rebuild every bit of the original game because of legal issues.
A new FarCry television series has been announced.
I wonder if they'll go way back to where the story started w/ weird animal-like genetic mutations. I don't think the current games even try to tie back to that origin, or at least I don't see any attempt to...
I think this series should feel like an Anthology like the games. Every season a new setting with new set of characters.
Speaking on stage at Saudi Arabia’s New Global Sport Conference (covered by Game File), CEO Yves Guillemot was asked about the future of the shooter series, which recently fell under the control of a new Tencent-backed subsidiary.
Currently playing FC4 for the first time. On the plus side, the 60fps update is great. On the down side, the multiplayer is the weakest part. Just chatting in the lobbies, ppl were only doing it for the online trophies. I don’t know that anybody really wants more of that.

This is amazing. This is the direction VR should go in to boost adoption. Since I have beaten every Crysis except 1, this is now a good excuse to correct that problem.
I would totally play the game again. I played a couple of hours and never finished it. This would me it worthwhile to revisit.

I am not even joking, I have seen better looking PS2 and XBOX games than OFP2 on PS3. The PC looks better, but still.
This looks bad ass. It makes me wonder though why crytek doesn't hire this guy, if he can rebuild a whole game like this being only one person rather then a whole team of people.

This is one thing I love about pc gaming and the ability for enthusiasts to make mods. I think some do it to make a career or are in the field/schooling makes a good resume for sure. and it makes gamers happy for free user content :)
