It baffles me how idiots get jobs as CEO's. Some of these comments were made out of complete ignorance, if you don't know what you're talking about pass the question over to someone who does and don't pull shigadey out of the air and make something up on the spot. No knows everything that's why there are different positions in every business.

And some of this BS are bold faced lies Ninja Gaiden 2 for example. A good game, but what kind of impact did it really have on other developers. NONE. Maybe some unknown 3rd party developer has envy for it, but no major developer.

regardless of the consoles quality they have lost over a billion dollars on it, so why not?

if they had just put a quad core cpu in there they would have the best games, it would have been easy to program for and there would be alot more ps3 games and of much higher quality, i hope for ps3's sake they don't go with the cell next gen

I may need a little clarification. By "why not," are you saying that Sony should've scrapped the PS3 and started over even after spending the money of launch and investing how ever much resources into game development, marketing, launch, etc? And let's be honest, neither you nor I know what Sony is really making or losing on the console. And Sony isn't some fly by night company. They can sustain losses to, as they plan to, recoup that money and then some in the long term ergo the 10 year life cycle.

I'm no gear head so you can throw out all the specs and techs and leave me in the dust. All I know is that I have Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, and soon God of War III and GT5 without the quad amplifier photon phaser or whatever you said.

Now perhaps you can point to some games that didn't come out so well on the PS3, but that won't refute my point that the aforementioned games are (or will be) amazing to me and many others.

Actually...he had a point. As far as the 360 was concerned, HDMI wasn't necessary. It is a welcome addition however but wasnt necessary for the purpose of the 360. Component and VGA are both capable of delivering the same resolution as HDMI.

HDMI is a nice convenience with the single cable connection.

As far as PS3 is concerned then yes...it IS necessary. Bluray right there makes it required with all the HDCP the format is supposed to have.
