"The long wait is almost over as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves hits stores this coming Tuesday, October 13th. You've likely already read our written review and watched our video review for the game, but that was just the opinion of the esteemed Chris Roper (with secondary thoughts from the legendary Greg Miller). But what about everyone else in the IGN office?
We received a handful of copies of the game earlier this week and there's been a long waiting list to borrow a copy. So now that a number of folks in the office have played a good portion of it (and in some cases have even finished it), we thought we'd compile all of their thoughts and let you know what more editors think of Naughty Dog's latest."
In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.
It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.
Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...
I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.

During MCM Comic Con London X EGX, CGM got the chance to be part of a press group interview with the stars of the Uncharted titles, namely the legendary Nolan North, who played protagonist Nathan Drake, Emily Rose, who portrayed Elena Fisher and Richard McGonagle, who took on the role of Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan,

Welp, Im gunna say what Im gunna say. Notice that through out that whole editiorial they didn't mention MP. This is what I was talking about earlier, but PS3 fanboys took it entirely the wrong way. Im not the type of person who pays full price for SP experiences, I normally spend that kinda cash on MP experiences.
This is the reason I'll most likely wait till next year to buy this game when the price drops. YES, I understand Uncharted 2 has MP, but the fact that its not even mentioned here shows that MP IS NOT its strongest point. I enjoy MP experiences much more than SP, so I thk it'll make sense if my money goes towards a game whose strongest suit is MP such as MW2 or LP2 if it comes out this year.
@Up- Yeah, I played it for 7 hrs straight. I was addicted even, its the best TPS online game ive ever played. But better than what Infinity Ward is cooking up? I don't thk so. Modern Warfare 2 was MADE for MP and thats what is being concentrated on. Uncharted 2 MP ain't bad, but it's not intended for MP like MW2 is. Honestly, its not even better than KZ2, but then again it shouldnt be.
So many great games, so little money.
I might have to trade in inFamous to be able to afford this one.
Bad idea?
from IGN editors.
I was fortunate enough to pick up Uncharted 2 at this hole in the wall game store out here in the OC by accident. Holy sh@t, cant believe i scored it.
they love uncharted 2, but they are too much of a cod mw2 fanboy that they become delusional and
are in self denial, then starts to implode in biasness for mw2. wierd!!
