Lol. Platinum Games was probably not happy with the port and wanted to make it clear that Sega made it to wash their hands of it. Shame that Platinum Games is still linked with the quality of the title due to their oversight of the project. You can't pretend you did nothing wrong. Hell, Platinum Games should be ashamed since they didn't step in to try to fix the PS3 version when they saw its framerate issues.

I hope the title bombs in Japan (360 sales are gonna be pretty low in Japan regardless of quality) to teach Sega and Platinum Games a little something about quality.

Actually, people doesn't know how to set gamma, contrast and lighting on TV/monitors.
Because if you set up your TV well you won't see a lot of difference.
360 version is superior but both of the demo are not the latest builds.
Anyway the difference is not enough to prevent people from buying the game since the game is so relentless that you don't have the time to notice a subpar texture.
And PS3 version is clearly heavily UNoptimized.
I don't know how much Sega will pull out, but this is clearly not the latest build.

and i got this feeling Bayonetta will disappoint too. Then again,i'll still try the demo before passing my final judgement.

But really, Sega/Plat* screwed up majorly this time. This fall and Q1 2010 is so packed with exclusives and big-name multiplats like DragonAge,AC2,NGS2,etc... that most people will be perfectly fine if they skipped this game, and it really seems that it will turn out that way.

It's just plain fun!

They might as well put "We suck at porting games".

This was happening to multi-plat games early on. When a game was made for 360 hardware and then ported to the PS3's hardware, the game was compromised. I played both and to the naked untrained eyes you could hardly tell the difference. But to those like myself, there is some slight differences but nothing to be so over analytical about.

The game is stupid GAY..opionion..lol

Anyway, the low amount of comments here just highlights how much "average gamer" care about this game and this will reflect on the sales.

I also want to point out that DMC4 has sold less than 3 millions of copies in 2 years, and it's a well known series.

Bayonetta really risks to flop and it's a real shame.
Developing it with blindedly focused on 360 won't help at all since a lot of PS3 owners won't buy it.
Devs have not understood yet that PS3 owners are more nitpicky than 360 users.
The 360 users buy a game even if it's not top notch and has flaws, the average PS3 user instead is a ball breaker that nitpicks everything since he's used to a certain quality standard, so if the game doesn't match the 360 version, he won't buy it.

Devs are losing a lot of money because they're not smart and have not understood how the market flows.

This game really wasn't on my radar anyway. Between Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, God of War 1&2 pack, and God of War 3 next year I'll have more than enough of this type of gameplay to satisfy me.

I saw photos that made the PS3 version look like crap, then i went i dl the demo in 360 and PS3. There were differences but not enough to warrant the ridiculous bashing.
But now i have no 360 (sold it) and if the PS3 version sux then i wont have this game, no way i will support poor efforts by lazy developers, specially when Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, etc are redefining the PS3 as a whole new gaming generation

I'm a huge fan of story driven actioners. I have played all Ninja Gaiden's (NES included!)...I have pre-ordered and paid in full Darksiders, Dante's Inferno, GoW Collection & Gow3.

These are the games I like most - some adventuring with my action!

And yes i have Bayonetta on my radar - I will be getting it day 1. My concern is all this talk about 360 being far superior due to Sega bad porting to date.

I loaded up the PS3 JP demo...immediately I noticed nothing! It looks great, jaggies are very minimal, textures are very decent....not great like Uncharted 2...but what other games are? The framerate - I noticed very, very minimal screen tearing. It was almost non-existent. I tried to notice what "everyone" is talking about. Playing NGS2 the screen tearing is some of the worst I've ever played - and the game is still amazing! (for the record 360 version I played had it too....though it was during heavy action. Ps3's seems connected to vertical camera movement by the user. Very strange...but in no way affecting gameplay.)

So I'm confused or blind. LOL But I like the PS3 version. The screens I looked at comparing PS3 to 360 shows that the 360 version has better fixed lighting. Which is easily corrected in the options menu I'm sure. Or your TV...though I doubt that would be necessary. And actually the difference is largely subjective...i like my lighting harsher while my buddy loves the soft look.

Anyways, I'll be getting the PS3 version. I like trophy hunting. Game looks great and plays great to me.

Anyone who buys this is a disgrace to the poor, homeless, diseased and utterly starving children of crack addicts and morons. I'd rather use my money for toilet paper or give it to Bill Gates.

The real sad thing is that all this negativity is poisoning the PS3 version of the game. Even if Sega manages to fix it, reviewers will likely rate it lower regardless.
