Let the inability to cope with reality commence. I'm sure according to many this game can no longer be good only because it's on the wii. Oh well... more exclusives that the graphix sluts will have to miss out on.

Hopefully this gives me a reason to turn my Wii on again. Conduit was a major disappointment, and since then I haven't bothered with the Wii. But Warren Spector makes Deus Ex, my favourite WRPG, so I have high hopes.

There are games that I like that do not have the best graphics but ugly is not allowed on my television any more.

I believe that you are being a bit harsh calling certain people "graphix sluts" just because they wanted the game on the PS360...

being a owner of the WIIPS360 I am neutral. And really look forward to this game on whatever system. The concept art and backing (Disney/Pixar) along with the person in charge (Warren Spector) give me high hopes for this game.

I do wish it were for the PS360,a game with this potential "eye candy" wise would be that much better in HD.Plus effects, physics, higher potential for A.I. etc,etc....In this day and age I do want and expect gsameplay along with higher end graphics. I still do believe that the Wii along with this team can come up with a nice looking game, but still will think no matter what, what could have been on the PS360...

Still I cannot wait to see actual gameplay mechanics,in game screens and possibly some animation by Months end.Looks like you will be painting with Mickey and that Wii Wand...I hope act/adv/platforming is the main genre...

Bring on Epic Mickey anytime...

Quote:
Epic Mickey is a tale about the 'forgotten' Disney stars: the rides, the characters, the lesser-known cartoons. When nobody any longer cares, they are cast into a dark void; a forgotten world of broken machines and bitter personalities - a bit like Sid's bedroom in Toy Story, but without the friendly furnishings.

This forgotten world is run by Oswald the Rabbit. He was Disney's first creation, made long before Mickey Mouse, and his jealousy of the newcomer has fermented for years. Now, finally, Oswald is ready for revenge.

He unleashes The Phantom Blot to wipe out Mickey and his cartoon world. The Blot pollutes the Disney universe with sticky black ink that makes colours run and fade (as seen on the Game Informer cover), so it's up to Mickey to restore peace and order. And this is where his tools come in.

Mickey has to draw and scribble his way through levels, mending broken bridges by applying the right colour paint or peering through walls after applying thinner. He can even clear rubble from his path by erasing parts of the world.

Our source told us Epic Mickey is a game about thinking and artwork - laterally considering your environment in order to overcome puzzles.

On top of that is a healthy dose of exploration, plus Mickey will be getting "his first makeover in years". "That's why no one's seen his face yet," our source explained, "But he's far more retro than you've seen him for years."

NICE!!!

I don't think the game will be visually ugly at all, I'm expecting something visually like a muramasa on 3d

I never played the first game but I enjoyed Epic Mickey 2 wish they were also porting the second game.

shinoff2183704d ago

I imagine they will if this sells well. It's easy money

Knightofelemia704d ago

That's the problem right there. If it's a good game but it doesn't push the numbers they want they scrap the sequel if there is one. Just look at Dead Space 2 getting scrapped because Dead Space 1 being a great game did not meet the numbers.

i liked the second one quite abit, but im glad they are remastering the first one

10 Best Disney Games Ever Made, Ranked

Despite Walt Disney's mixed history with video games, these games embody the magic of Disney the best.

When you think of Disney and video games, the first image that comes to your head could be a variety of things. Perhaps it's Kingdom Hearts, which remains one of the best Square Enix games due in little part to Disney’s influence.

Otherwise, it could be a classic game, since Disney has been mostly absent from the gaming world lately, save for some mobile ventures. Whether it be a nostalgic adventure with classic characters or a movie tie-in that makes an impression, let’s dust off Disney’s videogame legacy and find those quality standouts.
