Mass Effect 2 Vs Alpha Protocol: Final Round - Customization

Blend Games writes:

"Now despite delays put forward for Alpha Protocol, it certainly doesn't change the very vital aspect of its customization features, especially for character development and gameplay. So in this round we're going to take a look at how the customization aspects of both games play into the overall quality of both Mass Effect 2 and Alpha Protocol. We're joined once more by Electronic Theatre's ManPac and l.m.h, so let's get this thing rolling."

Mass effect 2 is going to be f*ing awesome!
Can't wait

JonnyBadfinger5980d ago

same here.

Mass Effect was so good as it was, i cant really see how they could improve upon the original. its a bit like Halo, the story at first is hard to take in but once you understand it, you seem to catch the games disease.
I have been bitten by both then the HALO bug and the MASS EFFECT bug, not sure.... but it could possibly be a blessing in disguise.

Probably going to get a lot of disagrees but i'll choose Alpha Protocol. I just dont like space Sci-Fi games.

your a ps3 fan. Right? Ha Ha, it's ok to like a game even though you can't play it.

I love Demon Souls but I can't play it, i'll just live that out through watching my buddy play it next week.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast433d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine433d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast433d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman433d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast433d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

One of the few 7th gen game that I'll full heartedly support for a remake.
Its a very unique RPG and deserves its faults fixed the 2nd time.

TheNamelessOne598d ago

I would be so for this. Alpha Protocol is the definition of a diamond in the rough. Before being acquired by Microsoft, Obsidian presented their ideas for a sequel, multiple times, but were always shot down. Even something simple like a remaster is very unlikely.

ZeekQuattro598d ago

Still have a physical copy for my PS3. Clunky at times but I had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Had some issues but that game was brilliant.

2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave681d ago (Edited 681d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
