IGN: Tetris Review

IGN writes: "Tetris is and always has been fun, but when we've played it this many times and have so many avenues to get it for free, you have to scratch your head at the decision to sell this one for $10. I like this PSP version of Tetris, but it's not really reinventing the franchise or anything".

10 dollars... and people say MS is bad (which they also are).

BulletToothtony6084d ago

people should know if it's worth spending $10 or not. If you're a big fan buy it.. if not then don't.. everyone has played tetris.. do we really need a review..

IGN has been losing it lately..

but why suddenly question the pricing, NOW? you pay 1 time for this and it's yours forever but why doesn't they complaint about playing online on XBL for $50 a year and if you wanna play online a year later you'll fork out another $50 while it's free on PC, Wii and PS3? and why aren't they complaining about ODST? - repackage MP maps plus a short campaign and firefight for $60! and how the fvck do you 'reinvent' tetris?? here, if you don't nitpick on prices on one side, don't nitpick on the other side as well! I'm not trying to bash M$ here but for IGN as a reviewer, you shouldn't show this inconsistency too blatantly and they are failing horribly these days!

Ah yes...Sony always has to be the one to reinvent franchises and genres, everyone else doesn't need to (rolls)

RememberThe3576084d ago

Did it occur to anyone that maybe EA set the price point?

thereapersson6084d ago (Edited 6084d ago )

Don't you know? It's easier to point fingers at Sony these days. EA is the publisher; NOT SONY. You guys wanna blame someone, blame EA for pricing their game so high.

Syronicus6084d ago

Isn't EA the publisher of this Tetris title? Yeah, so that explains it all.

$10 and no multiplayer? I'll stick with Tetris DS.

NewScratch6084d ago

i'll wait until its $5 or so, which shouldn't be too far away. don't forget that the publisher has a lot to do with that $10, y'all.

I can hear that classic music now....

meganick638d ago

Hopefully they’ll add Tetris DX from Gameboy Color. That’s one of my favorite versions of classic Tetris. The NES version is a bit too basic.
