Today, Sony's new handheld gaming system, the PSPgo, officially launched in North America and Europe. As the sleek new device made its way into gamers' hands, Sony updated its online PlayStation Store with the full list of games that are available for the system. As IGN scanned the contents of the store, two things became immediately clear. First, all the games on the list are already playable on the standard PSP 3000 model. Second, pricing is all over the map.
To celebrate Tomb Raider: Legend's 20th anniversary, the official channels have shared an early in-development gameplay demo.

The Black Mages' Legacy, the FFIX animated series set to release in 2028, has officially moved to "In Production" at EuroVisual Studios.

From Star Wars 1313 to Battlefront III and Project Ragtag, these are the cancelled Star Wars games fans still wish had made it to release.
they probably looked at MSs GoD service and noticed their pricing worked and adopted the same priciple. we will probably see these prices fall if sales arent to good.
Most Sony items are release with a high price to cash in on the gadgeteers, the ones that must have the latest and greatest on day one. We wil see a price drop not too long from release day.
I'm not sure who sets the prices here, but I know that if Sony or MS wants us to believe in a digital future, they could try a lot harder. The cost of going all digital is pathetically high.
While I don't agree with some of the current pricing on psn, I would view it as being biased if we didn't also make note of the more favorable pricing that sony has offered.
For instance Prinny is 9.99 on the psn vs 39.99 at gamestop. Think about it, that's a 30 dollar difference.
And there alot of other games that have discounted as low as that as well. I just think ign should have at least viewed both, the positives and negatives of the argument, not just the downside of the situation.
honestly, there are a few good deals for psp titles on psn.
Sony takes 2 steps foward with the PS3 slim, and 3 steps back with the PSPGo.
What are those Steps?
PS3
1. $299 Price point
2. Advertisements
PSPgo backwards
1. $249 Price point
2. No UMD conversion
3. Inconsistent Pricing on software
Honestly, they should have just made the PSPgo have something that really makes it better like a built-in video cam or something.
