Yes, modders should be banned. There is one thing that scares me though, what if their banning system fails and they ban innocent people...scary hrr..

This was one of the reasons I quit playing Halo 2 a long time ago....

I modded my original Xbox, and I certainly cancelled Live beforehand. It surprises me that some of these people were totally unaware that this would happen to them.

I can't stand cheaters. Ofcourse you will always have modders. Look at wha thappened to the PSP, why do you think the sales went up a lil. All about that Homebrew and ISO loaders. I haven't heard about 360 Hardware mods or PS3 but I'm sure some geeky guy in a basement with no girlfriend is working on it.

Modders ruined Halo 2

10 millions units sold, how many millions of 360 you guys think that will be banned??, c'mon microsft what have you done?? a lot, but A LOT of angry users will buy a PS3. (not me if you asking)

i am NOT joking i was on Halo 3 beta earlier and i got a message off one of my mates, saying that he has been banned for playing copied games! i HAD to send him a message back saying haha! (then the rest) and he sent a reply saying that he now has to get another whole Xbox 360, but he still gets to use the same gamertag when he gets the new console.

Great! Could not be happier. Oh wait...yes I could...now all they need to do is ban the people who get reported for racism, homophobic comments, and glitching. That would make me a happier gamer.

I would love to see all modders go to the ps3. the bottom line is modders dont buy games they steal them. so in fact they will only make sony lose more money. console makers make there money on software sales, as of now and for a while especially with ps3 the consoles sold only cost them more money, so modders go buy a ps3 and leave us gamers to support a system that has plenty of games, and you enjoy your bluray movies.

All my friends have modded 360's. You dont need soldering...just a computer to mod that piece of garbage. Even if they get banned, they can still go out and just by another xbox 360 with all the money they saved by pirating over 3 dozen games. Im not even pro-sony...i just hate fanboys that are happy that Microsoft is making more money now. Do you think MS is going to send you a check since you bought a licensed game? Get off their D***!

again its not about microsoft, its about the publishers. pirating only hurts them more. we who choose to buy the games are the reason you are playing them, without us they would lose money and stop making games. its is about fanboys but not microsoft or sony, just games we love games and therfore choose to suppprt the industry instead of stealing from it.

it is also important for console makers to make money, if they diddnt we would all be playin on the computer. and most of us dont like that. so it aint so bad that microsoft is making money and sony too.

people who pay for games should be rewarded by being able to play online without having to play against cheaters who dowloaded the damn iso via torrents anyways!!! If your gonna copy and burn games(which is what this is all about-don't give me that damn homebrew crap!!!) then you should be banned !!! play alone thieves!!! If it's really that big of a deal to them , buy another 360 and leave it alone. the price for a new system would cancel itself out once you think of the prices that you didn't pay for the games!!! just my 2 cents...

its been known since chips for the 360 1st came out that if you used a chipped xbox ONLINE they would ban you, i got told off numerous people "chip ya xbox i havent been booted offline yet i dont think they do" Yeahhhhhh i bet they dont

The psp would be my worst purchase ever, if it wasnt so easy to mod. Now its my best purchase ever, play any ps1 game u want, any n64 game u want, and snes/nes/megadrive game you want. Stream all your digital media to it. ITS SEXY

it is funny to read the forum the link takes you to. some understand and say we knew the risk...but most are whining and think it is unfair...wtf...M$ laid down the rules...why would they not enforce them?

And really Microsoft showed some mercy IMO...M$'s emailed response says they did not ban the accounts just the modded xbox...so they should be thankful they still can use LIVE and their accounts.(just have to have a different 360)

what happens when you have a modded 360 but you are the using the legit game? Do you still get banned cause of your modded hardware? that would suck balls.

Once they got off the streets and went to hell is was GG. If they just polished the games more and gave them SOME seriousness, they could have been sick. Falling through the floor, walking in the sky, and punching people and them flying into the aether could only happen so many times. Only games with more glitches is ANYTHING from Bethesda.

Thats fine. Its a lot better off that way otherwise we get disappointments like SR reboot and idk the many other constant sequels that were unnecessary.

This is what happens when no clue CEOs put market researchers in control over people who actually make games. Same with movies and music, they sterilise everything to chase the maximum appeal and end up boring everyone.

The last release was…. Not good. Felt like a game directed by marketing analytics.
