
As well as ingredients like mushrooms and flowers there are coins to be found in barrels and tents that can be used at temples to purchase potion recipes and weapons like cherry bombs and time bombs (a Mario reference? If so it's a good one). Up to six potions and weapons can then be assigned to a circular tablet for quick access.
When you kill enemies you'll sometimes get a red sphere. This gives you a Power Attack similar to what you had in Sonic Unleashed, where you can freeze time and bounce blows off several enemies almost instantaneously. The more you level up, the more people you can take out at once.
