The NBA 2K franchise has been living up to its standards each year but the past two years have been rocky. 2K is looking to fix that and include with it a new mode called My Player. With new animations, new pre-game introductions, and improved features; let's take a quick look at what NBA 2K10 is offering this season.
If you've been playing the NBA 2K10: Draft Combine then your player is ready for the new My Player mode in NBA 2K10. If you haven't played it, don't worry you won't be TOO behind when the game releases in a few weeks. My Player will be what makes 2K10 stand out from any of the 2K games the past few years just from what you will be doing with your player and what modes he can be a part of. While going through your career in My Player, you will be able to jump online with up to 9 other players looking to play 5 on 5 Pick-Up games. The games will be played outdoors but will keep the traditional exhibition rules. Just like in the Draft Combine your player will be judged with the Teammate Grade. Each player will have their own grade and depending how you do, you will get a range of Skill Points after each game to go towards your progression..."

LOS ANGELES, California – Before the slam dunks and alley oops of the 60th NBA All-Star Game that brought Hollywood and basketball together, Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose took to the practice court at the NBA Jam Session at the LA Convention Center. The avid gamer worked with 2K Sports last year and helped NBA 2K10 cover athlete Kobe Bryant award a $10,000 check to the best Xbox 360 gamer in Dallas before last year’s All-Star game at Cowboys Stadium. The reigning world champion and NBA Finals MVP earned 2,380,016 of the fan votes. He is joined in the Western Conference starting five by New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul (1,281,591), the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant (1,736,728), making his first All-Star Game start, and the Denver Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony (1,299,849). Bryant ventured to Sony’s PlayStation Players Lounge next to Staples Center to check out the newest PlayStation 3 video games.
